That's what they said about Aion too. I've barely heard a thing about Aion since the launch though.
But, however, I am excited. An MMORPG made by BioWare, creators of the most awesome games ever, Mass Effect, Dragon Age, SW: KOTOR and Baldur's Gate... It can't be anything less than a masterpiece.
I'm excited to. BioWare makes some really good games and I'm glad that they decided to make an MMORPG. The combat looks pretty good. It looks like it's going to be one of the best MMORPGs of the year.
Since Star Wars: The Old Republic is adopting many other features and capabilities from other popular games like WoW and Runescape, it's probably just going to be another hidden game that could never be outshined. Like the rest of their games, Lucas Arts is just going to take a popular aspect of a genre, tweak it, and submit it as their own, with their own theme to compliment it. Like plagiarism, except no one important realizes it enough to sue them because it looks like their game.
At least I hope so. The common gamer never looks beyond the game and realizes what they did to make the game anymore. Lulzier things have happened. Like the CoD series outshining the MoH series because 80% of their games were interactive cinematics of people holding a camera and executing actions with it.
im exited as long as they make it buy once no monthly pays. but honestly ive been choasting off some clever comp overclocking lately, and to actually play that id have to buy a new rig.
