I don't think so- after all, people were certain it was going to end in 2000, weren't they? I seriously doubt anything will happen. I thought the date was the 21st, not the 22nd... huh.
2012 my asS. There had been times where people thought that the world IS going to end. Just like Y2K, where people forgot about some stupid thing.
The world is going to end ; yes, yes it is going to end. But not 2012. The God of my religion (not Jesus) says that He had made the end of the world a secret. Not known to anyone. Not the prophet, not some low-tech Mayans, and hell, not some crazy guy who runs around with a sign saying "2012 is the end of the world!! We're going to die!!"
So please, to anyone who believes in 2012, it's not real.
I have to yes. Being a christian, I am lead to believe that the world will end when we start seeing signs. The huge, huge earthquakes and tsunamis that occurred in Haiti and China are one. If you read the book of Revelation, it says that severe natural disasters will happen. It also states that much of the world will be in poverty, which it is. It says that mankind will attempt to destroy itself, and that there will be a great war. The Iraq war is very great. In the Cold War mankind could have killed themselves with the nuclear missile deposits. So, given this information, I say that the world will end soon. My soon being within the next 1,000 years. NOT in 2012.
probally NO. the world will not end unless the closest star to us(the sun) runs out of fuel or asteroids no that will not happen asteroids is fake! there will always be survivors and those will grow on to be married and hav babies and more people will gorw so not until 10000 billion year later
Hmmm... I would have to say 2012 is just a unrealistic fact made by a philosopher that aztecs used to use. Either way, I believe the world will end when the ozone layer gets to worn out, and fades. So we're basically making the end of the world by using cars, etc.
Actually, the only space debri we have to fear are Meteorites.
Not really, we can detect any such object on a collision course from far away, and a few nukes to nudge it in the right direction would solve that pretty easily. Really, no natural disaster short of the earth randomly imploding could kill everyone off, or maybe the sun going nova unexepectantly.
