Ravines and abandoned mine shafts are two different things. Ravines are those giant long strips that looks like someone took a sword and made a huge cut through the land, and you know what the latter is.
usualy they are in the same places so i see where he is comming from in making that statement.

Well, that fact just may be chance based off how large both structures are, there's nothing in the map generation code that actually spawns them together.

That is true, but it's like the relationship of lava and dimond how dimond seems to like to spawn near lava, but it's just that they're very common in the deep.

Yep, also because lava usually spawns in a very large open area underground which allows you to see a lot more blocks at once, increasing your chances of spotting a diamond.
No, I went down the ravine and found an abandoned mine shaft.
Anywho, I'm making a giant castle made out of diamond blocks and a few other materials as a present for my friend. That and some cake. (Real life cake. I know, fancy, right? I'm used to the normal square cake you get in the game, but apparently it's not "real life," whatever that is.
*facedesk* I... I... I have no comment to this... meh.
Hah I agree that it is quite annoying how people who don't play minecraft, or people who never played terraria, even TRY to compare the 2 when they are completly different and have their own stlye of play.
Minecraft is like the best game ever, you get so addictied its can easily take up so much time. But at the same time i've owned it since alpha and its changed a lot, the traditional was much better. The potions and what not are not "ruining" the game, but I wish it was back to the roots

I got one word for you then: downgrade
All you have to do is just search up the minecraft version of the jar you wanna go back to, replace it with the jar you have, and live in paradise agian.
Lapiz is a cool looking block that is great for making pools look deeper in minecraft and it also is really useful when having a mod with npc's that you could trade withbecause lapiz always sells for alot.
I am making a texture pack and am making a few different designs for each tool and block so you can decide which you want in the pack which will help me improve it
