I like how people hate it because of "bad graphics" did you know if the grpahics were better you would have to use a top of line cpu JUST to be able to walk in da game? I've used a 256x256 texture pack which really isn't much, but I could barely move because of the constant loading of blocks, so minecraft is saving us from having to get new cpu's.
I run 30fps with a 256x256 texture pack with a $300 walmart computer.
i got a $300 dollar comp to, mines from office depot, its and Acer One, and i can play but its laggy sometimes. i have everything turned down to lowest, the light is moody the render is tiny and all the stuff is off, is there anything else i can do to allow it to run faster?
Also who is going to stick with 1.8 and just get the update when it comes, as cool as a pre-release i like having these two weeks to build up my material, i have diamond stored up and loads of wheat and all sorts of stuff.
...And is it true there is no snow in 1.8? i walked in one direction for 3-4 hours until my coordinates were at z=10,000 and saw no snow, i deleted that world tho, but if snow is there i need to get some for my snowman army :P
You probably made a bad decision on a Computer took95, but there is a mod called OptiFine which should better optimize the game to run better, however you're simply hiding the fact that your computer is bad...
the END looks rly cool. they could add more blocks though.
I agree with you there spuds443, The End does look really good. Yeah, there could be more blocks but the Enderdragons look fantastic flying overhead

Unfortunately, SoupCanX may be right there but you could always try closing unecessary programs/windows while playing. You could also go about trying different mods which may use less memory on your computer (plus they could make it even more fun!).

Minecraft is about the greatest game available on the internet (aside from a few others) and I'm really excited about minecraft version 2.0, to be released soon. Notch is supposed to release it at MineCon, last I heard. But one of its rivals, Terraria, is coming up fast as well.

I played it when it was first released.. Very addictive game, but I like the concept that you can create your own world and that you can combine all kind of resources.

You mean like in the future because Minecraft isnt released official.
