hey everyone, I haven't seen any topics about this wonderful game so I thought I would make one.

I think that I was mistaking the making of the hill biome with the whole world having mountains since all I can ever find in minecraft is hill biomes and I just assumed that those are constant through out the world


For reference, the plains biome looks like this

While the extreme hills biome looks like this

Most biomes are flat like the plains, except for the mushroom biome, and a couple of biomes removed in 1.8

I just found 10 diamonds at the same place! I must be the first person it the entire world to get 10 diamonds at the same place!

Actually, diamonds are naturally spawned in veins of 1-10, so you just got very lucky.

Really? Being lucky is very, very unusual for me.

I just got to The Nether, and i forgot were my portal is XP Do compasses work in the nether? I have brought one, it just doesn't direct me there D:

I suppose I'm unlucky then. I've at most only ever found 4 at a time and I've been playing this game since the alpha.

Compasses in the Nether literally point in a random direction, so they're useless. They do the same in The End. Though also remember to not use a bed while in the Nether, they blow up if you try to.

Finished my butter! I was trying for a long time to make a good looking knife but all of them failed.

Somewhat49, if you want to make a decent looking sculpture in Minecraft, you have to scale up. A 6x3x3 figure of butter is much too small for any detail. (Also as a tip, make your butter longer, most sticks of butter are like 5-6x the length of their width).

Redid the butter and this is what came of it.
