Rather than to have all of my ideas disseminated among the forums, I've decided to assert my coming back to Ag with a brand new thread dedicated to blend my perceptions together. Here, you'll find my pencil art - mostly uploaded and contained in another thread -, my writings and all the such things that gravitates around those, like poetry for example.
Here's my first work for this thread; it was very quickly done, as are most of my English writings. I hope it proves to be good in the end, as I haven't really thought about how it would unfold.
Of a treaty on idealism 1
It starts out as a speck of the infinite firmament, and steadily, it comes down, pounding like the stream of a river against the soaked wood of a waterwheel. Aglow despite being yet alive, it gives an unravelling feeling of warmth and comfort that shakes the cosmos to its inermost core; the universe is as any womb. Without any trace of sentience, it is somehow driven to the edges of reality by a superlative force, like the baby that forcefully crawls its way to escape the uterus, only moving by life's sheer compellin quality. You'd say that its of no interest whatsoever my bureaucratic friend, until it is of any pragmatic use of course. But isn't it the very principle of imagination to create what is not needed? Reason, reflexes and instincts are not part of this magnificent mechanism; they are the components of what we call ''survival''. It's idealism that will save the world! Like the flesh that is given life by means unnecessary for self-survival; so the idea makes its way to the door of the brain without being of any use to pragmatic life, yet it saves the world...
I disagree with Moon in this case, your drawings are amazing as they are. I can see you being an illustrator for some type of children's book or fantasy novel in the future, especially with the landscape sample that you shared.
I take it upon myself that Moon still have the spirit of a kiddie.
And thanks Kyouzou, that landscape sample is actually one of my recent works - today in fact - I'm the most proud of. I tried to go for the Roger Dean look, and I think I got pretty close to the overall style. Of course as an artiste, I'm nowhere near him in terms of skill but I wish I was. For those of you who don't know ''Bob'', he's a prolific artist/illustrator. He's most praisable for having drawn album art for bands like Yes, Gentle Giants, etc...
Wow your art is just great, I draw myself occasionally (when I have some inspiration or am just bored) but I have never drawn anything as good as these! I really admire it
Thanks a lot laza, it's much appreciated. Keep up practicing and I'm sure you'll be as good as me. I'm the human proof anyone can get to that level since I never had any kind of art class whatsoever.
Old art again. Not my usual style but it was a desired effect. I tried to respect the original MGS art as much as possible and I think I succeeded.
Me? I do some at home lessons and I am going to take an art course at a local university with a very good art program. At the moment I'm to busy with work and making money to attend anything.

And I've hijacked this thread...
You're funny! Actually I was asking FallenSky, since this was his thread... But on the other hand that question could be for anyone to answer!
So does anyone of you guys attend (or plan to attend) an art college/university? And does anyone earn his living by drawing?
As of yet, I've never even took a single art class of my life, but I'm pretty decided to move forward in that regard next year by taking an art oriented program at school.
If it works well, I'll be happy if I can make a living out of it. Since I'm already good with pencils, I'm quite eager to learn some actual techniques; always did my drawings with the gut only, without any proper artistic diligence.
Little shark drawing coming tomorrow. Put aside that, I'm currently working on what is perhaps the most ambitious piece of art I've done in a while so stay tunned guuuuuyzzz.
