I read a few things about how Tylenol works and apparently, it only treats the symptoms of high fevers.
It lowers your body temperature, but that is bad actually since your body's response to the bacteria, so it can kill it.
I also read that almost all sources of headaches are because you brain is dehydrated. It contracts, causing the headache. If you just drink a glass of water, you stop the headache.
Tylenol only stops the message that your brain is dehydrated, but it actually does more harm, unless you take Tylenol with a glass of water.

i would think its more like trying to tow a car w/ a banana... the unicycle still has a tire and could tow something... a banana isn't meant for towing at all
I know it is not designed to help, it is designed to kill the pain, but if it does you more harm, then it really does you more harm.
can't say i've ever gotten a headache from taking tylenol or ever had any existing problem made worse.
if it makes you feel better and whatever damage it does doesn't affect you noticeably then it would be an acceptable exchange. unless you abuse it constantly, whatever damage it does won't be significant enough to be permanent.
and if you're dehydrated to the point to where taking a dose of tylenol is enough to hurt you that bad... you might consider going to see a doctor...like 5 minutes ago... but i'm not a doctor so i dont know
I am not calling out Western Medicine, but Tylenol.I don't know why your doing this, tylenol was never meant to cure or fix any ailments I believe. It was just meant to relieve you of your pain and reduce your fever as you said. So even if your still sick you wouldn't consciously know you were sick. So as someone has previously said

Like I said, it is a painkiller, like Morphine. Morphine can have some negative effects as well, but the temporary effects are typically worth it as well as the negative effects rare, unless in the case of overdose.
And I hate jumping into conversations in the middle, but I am attempting to watch a show while keeping with my normal schedule...

Tylenol is harmful to you only when you take too much or when you mix it with other drugs. All drugs can be dangerous when abused or taken incorrectly.

Tylenol isn't worse for you than having a fever or aches and pains unless you take too much.
Let's look at your situation, you were sick for weeks while taking Tylenol while you were only sick for a few days when you didn't take it. This doesn't necessarily mean the Tylenol made you sick.

The chances of sacrificing your health are low, and even then the sacrifice is, at most, a slightly worse fever. In most cases this will allow you to be able to work and do whatever you normally do for the effective period of the aspirin, which in essence means the sickness is unnoticed, and thus defeated, for the remainder of the period. (Unless there is other severe symptoms, of course.)

It was never said to cure anything. It is a mild painkiller, does it not "kill" the headache pain? It is as simple as that.
