To start off, what's your favorite board game (any game including games that aren't exactly "board" games)? If it's really unique, just write a little about.
My favorite board games are monopoly (it is a long game but very funny), hotel (you've got to buy as many hotels with their upgrades as possible), cluedo (you've got to search for the murderer, very nice) and triviant (by answering questions you earn things so that you can win).
I like monopoly. It's so awesome, especially when everyone has hotels and it basically turns into a game of luck. But now, they're trying to "modernize" monopoly. They're getting rid of paper money and all that stuff. Personally, I like the Monopoly with paper money and everything is done by hand, not electronically. Anyways, I also like chess (even though my brother usually beats me at it) and Risk (even though my brother beats me at Risk as well).
More like, BORED games. Haha, get it? --- I often lose at bored games, the only one I win at is Monopoly, and sometimes Risk. Although, I rarely play board games. They infuriate me >.<

Most board games are family games, but there is a whole variety of board games to choose from. There might even be one you're good at.
