I think the shrine %HP drain formula should be like how the slowing is implemented: 1/(1+slow), so it could be "HP of monster after shrine wave hit"="HP of monster before shrine"/(1+x*grade+y), if X>0 and abs(Y)<X, this will result in an uniformly active shrines, and even a grade 1 gem could do something better, if that X will be about 0.05, lower grade gems in shrines will be almost as effective, while no 100% HP drain will ever be possible.
Yeah eventually, assuming you've extended mana pool to at least G16 or G17, it t really doesn't cost anything to use a G18 at all. And given how long a shrine animation can be with enough enemies on screen its quicker to use 1 G18 than 10 G10s.
I think traps really cause problems with the info panel. My last endurance if i took out all my attacking gems and left my traps in, my mana gain gems would still cause severe fps drop if i moused over something (to create a duplicate), but if i switched all the attacking gems in 7 of them) and removed the traps then fps was always alot better.
it's possible that the game forces an update of gem property sheet each time a shot is resolved, and possibly each time a HIT is being resolved, and there are a lot of hits in a single shot from a trap, if there's a lime inside. Will also tell GiaB about that.
****, when i get to wave 157, i only have a G16 gem and the monsters have 72m hp and i can't kill them! any tips on how to make a G18 gem early? at least before level 100. i'm already lv 278. thanks guys!
I have got every amulet except the one for winning 500 battles. That's 140/141 amulets, and I still have to fight another 112 battles to get the last one. That will take weeks, dammit.
I guess i need to set up something with swarm only on endurance so i can get the 10000 banished enemies... not even 1/4 of the way yet and its been a long time since i let anything through, at least in any great quantities.
180million mana and counting by wave 131... it just seems to be the gem info windows that cause massive lag. No other box does it but rolling over something to duplicate causing a huge fps crash making it actually better to pause the game, duplicate, move off, unpause, pause, repeat.
Why weeks? G13, start area, without modifiers. smash wild, buy 2 level 6 gems and start all waves. You can do it even with mouserecorder or something like.
@Gremlion, yep, you're right, I could do that, but I deffo wouldn't love GCL as much as I do now if I fought 112 battles like that. :P
@Evilsod, yep, you could do it with swarm only, or if you dislike swarm only battles as much as I do, you could work some banishment into the pipeline of every endurance battle. You could put G12-G15 Y-L-O gems in traps (you'd need to experiment to find the right grade for your own setup) and summon multiple waves with G8 to G10 gems. There's a point at which the trap gems generate more than enough mana to keep you alive but they're not powerful enough to kill anything.
