In AG3 I think there should be changes to the fourms (If they include them) There should'nt be a timer to wait to post again on the fourms and there should also be a edit button. I also think you should be able to 'ban' people from your topic, this would help if ArmorGames staff do remove the 30 Second wait on the fourms. Also you should be aloud to select a 'rivacy' setting ETC: Open Thread, Locked Thread, Selected users only, Freinds only. And I know that someone is going to come and downgrade why these ideas will be no use but I just thought I would shed my opionen as along time ArmorGames user who is always in the Fourms (Fourm Games Section I'll send you a postcard with directions)
I'm pretty sure the timer is used to prevent spam and automatic responses. I think the developers were talking about adjusting the timer to make them longer or shorter for certain users, though. The edit button, I think you should have 15 minutes to edit your comments and then be done with it. If you could freely edit comments, and wrote something bad, you could just change it before a moderator saw it. Deleting your own comment would be nice though.
Honestly, about the whole adding an edit button topic, I personally like that there is no such button on this forum. It makes people think before they post, which is good. But not all people read over their post after typing it, so in the end, it would be better to have it. Yes to edit button.

Ehh, I disagree. Because you could easily have a flame/spam war with someone, then just delete all your posts before you get caught. Like you mentioned about the editing button, Joe. No to delete button.
But do moderators really have time to go round deleting spam/post's in people thread imagine how long that would take as everyone would be wanting them to delte things
Yes. Yes we do. Or, I do, at least. And just because someone thinks something should be deleted does not mean it actually should be deleted. Again, it could be horribly, horribly abused. HORRIBLY.
Get an edit button (preferably one that actually points out what you added/edited), get the ability to perhaps lock the thread yourself, when you think there is no more to it, but no deleting of other people's posts, no locking certain people out of posting, no making threads for friends only. If you have a problem with a certain user in your thread, the new reputation system will make sure a mod will see it and act on it, and it will be very likely that the user would need some looking into anyway, which you would make sure would never happen, if you remove the posts yourself.
Mods is there for a reason: The main reason being upholding the rules, but the best reason is that you don't end up in trouble from handling something yourself. We have the authority to actually do something about stuff. Just because you made a thread, you don't get raised above others like that.
Rules are there to stop people doing bad. There for thing which are illegal. If there were no rules half of the world probably wouldn't be alive.Just think how good it is that we have rules.OK?
i thik there should be more pts for form posts so it will get more popularity because alot of people dont go here that much
Update on Armor Points. The reputation feature sounds nifty. . I like that one. With the second part I beg to differ with that. . there are many people that visit the forums quite frequently.

As far as modifying the forum engine to handle the ideas that Thomas1st2 had, the idea of public forums is that they don't exclude anyone.
AG3 will have the idea of friends and followers who can participate in messages, which has an inherent "exclusivity" to it. If you're my friend, you may participate. If you're not my friend, you're naturally excluded.
26,785 active users have written at least one forum post. 6,817 active users have written 10 or more forum posts.
25 or more posts: 3,925 users 100 or more posts: 1,558 users 250 or more posts: 825 users
So it really comes down to what you consider to be "many people that visit the forums quite frequently" and comparing that against our ~850,000 active users.
Sure, comparing it against the 26,785 users that have *ever* been in the forums would yield a higher percentage, but if implement a feature that only 10 people ever user, it becomes less practical to do extensive amounts of work on it over time.
As far as the actual forums go for AG3, I'll update my other post on that shortly.
