This is a short tutorial on how to wake up early and sleep effectively!

1. Always turn off the lights when you sleep
Some people are afraid from the dark, but when you sleep, the light hits in your brain cells which makes you sleep harder and stronger, which is not good for your body and makes you sleep a lot longer.

2. Follow the Biological Clock
If you stay late at night, you will stay later then next night, and so on. This will revert your day into night, and your night into day, which is very bad for you body. It's not the same sleeping in the day and night.

3. Don't say 5 more mins!
When your alarm rings, don't turn it off and say "5 more mins", because those 5 more mins will pass like 5 seconds and you will say another "5 more mins", making you late for school/work.

4. When you are younger, you must sleep more!
Everyone knows this, so here's a word how much time you should sleep in your lifetime. Kids should sleep 10-12 hours. Teenagers should sleep 8-10 hours. Adults should sleep 7-8 hours, and Elders should sleep 5-6 hours. If you sleep like this every night in your lifetime, you will be healthy and never be late for work/school.

5. Set your favorite song/music as your Alarm
That's right, if you put some crazy beepy music that will ring while you are in the middle of a dream, it will make you nervous for the rest of you WHOLE day. So that's why put your favorite music and you will wake up smiled.

6. Your Last Meal should be 4 hours before Bedtime
It takes long time to digest the food, if you bump into your bed with a full stomach, the food will not digest normally and you will then have Stomach pains, making you sleepless.

7. Practice waking up 15 minutes earlier each day
You won't want to wake up too early all at once. Don't stop your cycle. So start even earlier, if you feel you will. Eventually you will get a habit waking up early even without alarms!

8. Simulation to be Awake
Many people drink Coffee in the morning to be refreshed instantly. Yeah, we all know that the coffee is not healthy, but not much people know about the Apple. Yeah, the apple is MORE effective than the coffee for refreshing and it is a lot healthy, because it's a fruit, and yeah, fruits are the healthiest food in the world!

=====================================================================

I hoped this helped with your waking up problems.

What I do is get up. When my alarm rings, just wake up. Why do you need to make a thread on such an obvious solution?

What I do is lie in bed for a few minutes and recap yesterday and todays event then get up and get ready for school. Never turn on any lights when I get ready. Then on the bus(when it is not pulled over waiting for the cops) I listen to my Ipod to wake me up.

My routine on sleeping then waking up on school-days is to just get into bed by 11PM, set my alarm to 7AM, turn off everything in my room and lock my door. Once I wake up I drink a cup of coffee and eat some toast with eggs then go to school.
It isn't very difficult to do.

3. Don't say 5 more mins!

The snooze button was the worst invention by man. Or the best. Depends on your point of view.

Actually number 4 is incorrect. Teenagers require on average 6 hours of sleep. The older you are, the more sleep you require because your body recovers at a slower rate.

However, the military has proven that you can function on a normal level with only 4 hours of sleep per night.

To wake up early, I calculate in 90 minutes periods, when the next 90 minutes will be. If I go to bed at 10:30 a 90 minutes interval will be 12:00 then 1:30 then 3:00 etc... I also set a alarm at the 90 minute period then 1 every minute for 5 minutes after that. Then I drink a red bull and do my homework.

I think six hours is the absolute minimum...

I wouldn't call this a tutorial, since it's just a collect of tips and suggestions.

All I do to wake up early is sleep earlier.

Sleeping in until 5:00 AM? Psh, what a lazy bones.

It would help if you used correct grammar, I'm inclined not to take you seriously otherwise.

I think you're mistaken on that point. The caffeine in the coffee might not be healthy, but that's what wakes you up. Not just any food will wake you up. Where are you getting this information?

6. Your Last Meal should be 4 hours before Bedtime
It takes long time to digest the food, if you bump into your bed with a full stomach, the food will not digest normally and you will then have Stomach pains, making you sleepless.

I don't mean to put you on the spot or anything, but seriously, where are you getting this information from? Because I usually eat dinner at 7:00 on the weeknights and [whenever I feel like it] on the weekends, and I've never experienced stomach pains. Unless I'm mistaken, the stomach pains stem from overeating, and even then, it has nothing to do with when you eat in relation to when you go to sleep. It might cause you to lose sleep if you're experiencing stomach pains, but other than that, the two factors are virtually unrelated.

5. Set your favorite song/music as your Alarm
That's right, if you put some crazy beepy music that will ring while you are in the middle of a dream, it will make you nervous for the rest of you WHOLE day. So that's why put your favorite music and you will wake up smiled.

That's a bit of an exaggeration. I can't set any music I like to my alarm, because then I won't be motivated to get up and turn off the alarm, and I'll just lie in bed for the next hour to half hour(yeah, that's happened before). So, I set my alarm to be the most annoying sound I can find, turn the volume up all the way, and then put my phone(which is the source of my alarm) all the way across the room from my bed. I get up quick.

You're right, of course, in so far as the fact that the earlier you go to sleep the earlier you will wake up. If you want to wake up at 6:00, don't go to sleep at 2:00. Even if you do manage to haul your *** out of bed, you'll be exhausted during the day.
But those numbers vary a lot. You're wrong on the elders, and as for all the others, it depends on the individual.

sleep harder and stronger

Really now? SLEEP HARDER AND STRONGER? How do you exactly do that?

People that play sports or weight lift, I recommended, sleep for 7-8 hours. Thats what I have done and I always feel beautiful and new again next day.

Actually, try drinking black tea. It is very healthy for you, and has enough caffeine in it to jumpstart you, but not so much that it makes you jittery or hyper. Black tea has 40-120 milligrams of caffeine in it, whereas coffee has 95-200 milligrams of caffeine in it. Look on this website - , it is where I buy my tea, and it will tell you a little bit about each type of tea.

Those are some pretty cool ideas; I'll probably have to try a few of them. Well, at least for the alarm one, because I have a cheap alarm that has really annoying radio static :P

It all sounds pretty logic and sound to me. I wouldn't disagree with it.

5. Set your favorite song/music as your Alarm

I agree with this, but what I notice happening to me, in this situation, was something different.

When I set my alarm to a certain song, I would start associating that song with waking up, which includes all the horrible feelings that come along with it. Whenever I would hear the song I wake up to, even if I had been up for hours and it was mid day, I would become more cranky and angry. So, for me, if I don't want to ruin a good song I won't wake up to it.
