Hi i was just wondering if there are any ag users out there that have some sort of pro medical experience. I will tell you why. Every time I go outside during the winter, my hands will turn red or purple and if i press on it, it will get white. Any ideas? This has been going on for about 3 years now.
This thread is not just for me; this is for the entire ag community to post medical related things.
Thank you
(will not accept any bull*hit answers from anybody)
i found a little forum from somewhere and a mojority of answers said Raynaud's "disease." I wouldn't necessarily call it a disease though.
I then went onto mayoclinic.com and that helped alot. It said that Raynaud's is more of a nuisance, which it is. All it said was that it was poor circulation to the hands. Or feet in some cases but not me.
Well, Strop is a doctor he could help. However, I CAN give you some direction. Raynaud's "disease" sounds like a culprit, but because you say you have different symptoms it COULD possibly be this weird and rare disease that no one has heard of (hopefully not!). Now some common sense(hurray...); in the shower your feet may/will turn red if the water is too hot. Knowing that, the cold could/will do the same, don't you think?
Some one answered that already, he isn't as active 'cause he is a doctor ;P.
he's not that active anymore since he's busy being a doctor.
No Feet, just Hands. Raynaud's has White and Blue Hands, i have Red or some purple "tint" to it...
I was making a reference... If coloration due to temperature occurs to the feet, then why can't the other body parts do the same? Also, I thought Raynauds could come in a purplish blue tint... My friend has something similar, heat gives small red splotches, and today it was freezing and they turned purplish.
Sounds like you ought to wear gloves when going out. If your hands are out in the open when it is cold, the blood cuts off to not get cooled down, and then, by this, cool the rest of the body down (which would be bad). Or, if you want something more serious, listen to them other guys.
It's really not that big of a deal, literally every peripheral part of my anatomy does that. As Cen pointed out it most likely has something to do with the chill cutting of a little circulation, it's not something I would worry about.
strop gets on every few days... it may take a week or so to get back to you.... but he is very reliable when it comes to giving you a reply. I asked him about my shoulder, and it would take him about a week to answer... but he always had a statement saying... "i've thought about it for a long time, and this is what I've come up w/..." or if its not his forte he'll tell you straight up. good luck man
try drinking more water, this used to happen to me all the time, my hands would turn purple if i would just stand around... could just be bad circulation
