Well, I was searching to see if this was already made, but the searches didn't show a thread with my idea so here it is. I am making this thread so we can have a typical tavern discussion thread for all things science! Basically, a thread for everything science! Ranging from discussions about laws and theories, scientific debate, breakthroughs, discussion about new scientific breakthroughs, certain scientists/philosophers, and all that good stuff!
So go out there and let out your inner science! ;P
To get us going somewhere I'll start: what do you think the future holds for technology? I think our knowledge will allow us to overcome the obstacles thrown at us in the future, I mean, we have discovered so much and have come so far!

Oh, will smokeing smoke, make it harder for me to breathe?

Definitely yes! But why would you smoke... Plus your really young...

and same with animal hair and dust? I am allergic also to dog dandruff,(excess hair) we have labs too.

Yes, irritants in the air and etc. may trigger an attack, just be sure to wash your hand after playing with the labs. Oh, brush off hair too, since your allergic.

But they try to do it outside.

yeah, just try to avoid smoke when possible, if it means going outside when your parents smoke inside, and visa-versa.

As for the cat, yeah, just brush the cat hair off you, and wash your hands after contact with him too.

Asthma can be hereditary, but many others factors exist such as air quality.

So, yes and no. If you and the husband do not pass on the disease, the kids can still get asthma from the environment

hmm, if I have kids, and my asthma has gone away, will my kids get it?

I don't think asthma is genetically transmitted. But I can't say they would 100% out of risk

IT would be a problem if you were allergic or something, or if the dove was dirty/dusty. Still, just wash your hands after all animal contact

It means creating a limb.
Here's a wiki on regenration

We already do, just not on that large of a scale. Cut yourself, and you heal. The problem is, we don't regenerate large portions, like limbs and organs.

Weather it is true or not, there are accounts of this "dust" that has healed finger tips, the wiki even has a spot on it. I have also watched a documentary on this one team of scientists who created an organ. The flaws are still being worked out.

Think we can ever make a "superman serum" like they gave the Hulk's dad?

Its possible, but unlikely. and it would be cheating nature. Nature let us get away with creating hideous machines and polluting the very air, but a flaw that big in the DNA cycle? we would all DIE!

and it would be cheating nature.

We cheat nature day to day, for more in depth reasons than that of pollution...

Anything scientific?

How do you feel about the idea of subconscious triggers?

Can there be a way for humans to do it?

I think it will be more likely to grow the limb separately then surgically attach it.

Weather it is true or not, there are accounts of this "dust" that has healed finger tips, the wiki even has a spot on it.

From what I have shown it's not true and just snake oil. Though I wouldn't rule out the possibility of developing a means to regenerate body parts in humans.

They get used more then we realize. :P

Yeah I'm okay with it, in fact I find it rather fun to try and spot them.
