Welcome to Delossantosjâs Song of the Week!! (mod approved)
In this thread I will post a song every week that deserves a shot in the spotlight! There will song lyrics, and most likely the music video or such to the song.
The song must be new(ish). 1.5-2 years back as a limit pending on how popular the song actually was.
I will take ANY songs for request on my page in the comments section, but just know that if only you have requested that song, odds are it wonât be picked. If youâd like me to post a song that you think deserves it, then try and get some supporters and followers!
Feel free to comment or state positive criticism to the song and tell me if you guys think itâs a good song or not!
ALL GENRES ARE ACCEPTED HERE!

SONG OF THE WEEK: Ropes-Foo Fighters

with the foo fighters new single off there number selling album that HASNT EVEN COME OUT YET i feel like this song deserves a win for this first week.

with epic guitar riffs, kick butt drumming, and strong dave vocals this song has everything going for it.

link to song to listen

lyrics:
This indecision got me climbing up the walls
I've been cheating gravity and waiting on the falls
How did this come over me, I thought I was above it all
Our hopes gone up in smoke, swallow your crown

On a kiss, I thought I'd save my breath for you
On a kiss, I thought I'd save my breath for you

Give me some rope I'm coming loose, I'm hanging on you
Give me some rope I'm coming loose, I'm pulling for you now
Give me some rope I'm coming, out of my head, into the clear when you, go,
I, go, No

These premonitions got me crying up a storm

Leave your condition, this position does no harm

On a kiss, I thought I'd save my breath for you
On a kiss, I thought I'd save my breath for you

Give me some rope I'm coming loose, I'm hanging on you
Give me some rope I'm coming loose, I'm pulling for you now
Give me some rope I'm coming, out of my head, into the clear when you, go,
I, go, No

Give me some rope I'm coming loose, I'm hanging on you
Give me some rope I'm coming loose, I'm pulling for you now
Give me some rope I'm coming, out of my head, into the clear when you, go,
I, go, No

You're forgetting the 14th, 15th, 16th, 17th, 18th, 19th century, the 50's, the 60's and the 70's.

its because while i do agree you should know your roots, there are tons of threads anyways that can help you with that, i.e. classic rock bands world cup and metal bands world cup.

this thread is to enlighten yourself to newer and mroe modern music to find a newer sound.

Note Pad

Note Pad always worked for me; used to make my haiku judgings with it.

While I think it's a good idea, I often find myself lost in older music. Actually, the only recent album I bought is ''sigh no more'' of M&S. Then I found a remastered edition of ''Close to the edge'' by Yes, and forgot all about contemporary music.
I'm totally engrossed by Yes these days, and finding Tales of topographic oceans in stores is hard!

heres something i put up on facebook not to long ago:

you know, for a long time everyone thought that the foo fighters were just going to live in the shadow of nirvana, when really they havent. they are there own band and honestly i think there better the nirvana, they are kicking harder and longer then ANY post grunge band out there

While not particularly a Foo Fighters fan, this song is pretty awesome. It's a bit catchy, yet not annoying.
Also, I think you should just post whatever songs you'd like to note. Just don't use up all the songs you had in mind in one post.

NEW SONG OF THE WEEK!

this weeks song of the week i happened to discover due to my rproland subscription on youtube. with amazingly written lyrics, kick as drum licks, and just catchy guitar this song EASILY took the song of the week for me.

the runner up is a band my friend sergio showed me and i swear to god i fell in love. with smooth vocals, and relatable lyrics this song can and band can be described as the instrumental band explosions in the sky but with lyrics.

song of the week:Nightingale-by the reign of kindo

Runner up:An End Weight-by harvard

lyrics to nightingale:Oh the world is still
It's quiet as a mouse, it's 3 am
Wide awake, trying to get the words out of my mouth
But I can't make a sound since you left me lying here in my bed
While you're running off with him

Everything in my world was yours, when I held you tenderly
I was once in his shoes, I had everything to lose and so I did
It wasn't long ago when I could feel the breeze of you blowing on my skin
I could feel your touch as your arms were closing in
If I could muster a sound I'd sing this song out loud just like a Nightingale

I was driving fast with roses on my seat and headed home
I was late with dinner getting cold
When I was struck in the side of the car
And then I saw your face
I couldn't move, I couldn't say a word to you

Everything in my world was yours, when I held you tenderly
Oh now my world is caving in because you're sleeping next to him
If I could die
You bet your life I would

Because I can't feel the breeze of you blowing on my skin
I can't feel your touch as your arms are closing in
If I could muster a sound I'd sing this song out loud just like the Nightingale
The Nightingale

If the tables had been turned I could never go without you by my side
But I'm reminded everyday how
I can't feel the breeze of you blowing on my skin
I can't feel your touch as your arms are closing in
If I could muster a song I'd sing this song out loud just like the Nightingale
The Nightingale

I can't feel the breeze of you blowing on my skin
I can't feel your touch as your arms are closing in
If I could muster a sound I'd sing this song out loud just like a Nightingale
The Nightingale

comments will be appreciated thanks!

alright, some slow stuff. i like it. very calming (both of them) i especially like the drummer in Nightingale. vocals are also better in that song. i see why u chose it.
