does anyone know if having multiple hospitals helps? (with your chance of saving
... or should you just stick with multiple churches instead for the happiness bonus?

and yeah.. I believe(/agree) that builders and soldiers are the most important. My technique usually involves using the minimum amount of (3-9)scientist and (2-6)leaders w/ (usually) no scavengers. With all of the remaining people I aim for about 30(- 50)% builders and 70(- 50)%soldiers.

Good luck people!

Scavengers are essential... However, you should never need more than what you find by recruiting them.

Scouting first reduce the likelihood of disaster in missions and allow you to scavenge way more efficiently when you need food. They are most useful at the start of the game and lose their usefulness when you have scouted the whole map and you produce more food than what you can eat.

Multiple hospitals doesn't help more short of having a second one in case you lose the first to an attack. Which you should not bother yourself with unless you play the hardest difficulty setting where it is easy to lose blocks.

The distribution of soldiers/anything else really depend of your difficulty setting. It is however true that the bulk of your survivors should be soldiers no matter what.

What do you dod about the mysterious scientist?

yes indeed, I don't allow him into the fort, so he just leaves a science book :O

and can I get a list of all endings? I have Two:

Draft a Constitution
Kill The Last JudgeMent Gang
(I have found the Heliport but I can never seem to fix it even with 7 Maxed out builders and 6 Scientists)

There's a bunch of miniquests you have to do right to be able to use the helicopter.

Allowing the mysterious scientist in wastes one of your labs but will eventually result in him killing himself and whoever he picks as his assistant, with the upside being that when he does that, you'll automatically get to start researching a cure for the zombie virus, which grants you another ending when it's done.

What part is the &quotro-zombie" book playing you can either discourage or allow in the beginning? And how exactly can you start the helicopter?

Beside that I really like the improvements from part 1, the individual stats and equipement make you far more flexibel.

The best strategy is to first expand to your right, where the farms are more likely to be situated. Farms are more important, because the amount of food you can scavenge is limited. Another strategy towards mid-game is to lean towards a border which will reduce the number of adjacent squares, thus limiting the danger of being overrun.

It was really annoying how I had like 40 men and 100% happiness and they kept celebrating when I was like 6 squares from done and every time they celebrated at least 1 person died and I lost a turn until my soldiers and people were all dead.

If you want to fix the helicopter at the end make sure that when you get the option to make a flamethrower, say no.
Also, you can let the pro-zombie book, but after a celebration which requires food, you can support the dissent against the church to destroy it.
Another thing is, when given the option to gamble food, gamble it all! Luck seems to be in your favour and when you empty him out, you even get a kitten.
I also found out that when you leave your city, you keep the guys that did the job so make sure to pick your 'Super soldiers'.
And finally, I found out that reclaiming every single square does NOT give you and ending.
