I'm not sure if you heard of it but here is a link http://www.world-of-lucid-dreaming.com/ There is a video on the home page, whatever.

Basically lucid dreaming is the ability to consciously direct and control your dreams. It transforms your inner dream world into a living alternate reality - where everything you see, hear, feel, taste and even smell is as authentic as real life.

I was just wondering if anyone was able to do this? I find i can get very very close but once i realize I am dreaming I get too excited and... well, wake up.

The site shows you different techniques on how to do it I would recommend checking out the site if you are interested.

Anyways one of the methods is called "Wake Induced Lucid Dreaming, A.k.a 'Wilds' You basically have to forcefully enter sleep paralysis and stay there until you literally pop into a dream or make yourself have an out of body experience and turn it into a dream. I chose this method because I almost ALWAYS start dreaming after i wake up and fall back asleep

I can get to the sleep paralysis stage after i wake up at about 3-4 in the morning but i can never hold it long enough. Sadly i pass out after doing it for about 10 seconds lol. Any tips? I realy want to master this skill.

So I'm about to hit the hay, this is night 4 of me attempting a lucid dream I will tell you how it goes. Supposedly once you master it you can realize when you are in a nightmare, stop whatever it is, and ask it what it represents. Sounds interesting. Kinda like talking to your sub conscience. Anyway goodnight!

I was just wondering if anyone was able to do this?

I can't and I wouldn't want to depend on it.
I like to keep reality and fiction separate from each other. I don't want to depend on dreams to be able to have a perfect life then waking up and having a bad life. I'd rather just make this real life good.

It'd be nice to be able to do it every now and then, probably to reminiscence about things.

Well, it's weird. Usually, I can control my dreams, but I am pretty aware that's just a dream, and often I also know that I am sleeping. For example, sometimes when I'm dreaming in the morning and my dream is not too good, I think "c'mon, why should I stay in this place, let's just open my eyes and I'll be in my bed." but, also remember dreams where I was a third person spectator, and I was seeing myself doing things, and I had no control on what the real me was doing. Sadly, the dreams of the first kind are usually boring imitations of real life (and I'm also often in places I really don't want to return), and just in the 2nd kind there are weird things such as purple poisons and giant dinosaurs.
I am weird, talking about dreams.

On occasion, I have control over my dreams. I enjoy manipulating the world around me according to my vile desires.

Though I usually have the fundamental ability to abort my dreams and wake up. If I do have nightmares, they aren't thrilling or horrifying. My nightmares are realistic worst case scenarios that could occur in everyday life. Hmm.. That includes nuclear apocalypse by the way. Most often, something horrible happens to me as I go about my daily life, or someone I value is killed or disfigured in some horrible manner.

It's not like I have many dreams these days. D:

I often have slight control over my dreams. Just last night, I was having a dream where I was stressing out over two projects I hadn't finished, but then I thought, oh wait, I don't have these projects. I'll go rob my friend instead.
It was a very boring dream.
Usually, when I have nightmares, when it gets to a "scary" part (I put scary in quotations because it usually wouldn't be half as scary if I was awake) I realize hey, I'm dreaming, and this dream sucks. I think I'll start dreaming about something else now.

sometimes, when i drift off into sleep, i experience a short dream sequence that is usually highly disturbing. then i realize it's a dream, and i wake up staring at the ceiling, unable to move and there's a constant ringing in my ears. and that's probably the closest i've gotten to lucid dreaming. i have not yet been able to alter the events though, but i can see my ceiling while experiencing the sequence. it's like my eyes are half open.

i woudlnt want to control my dreams anyway. if i know its a dream then the whole fun (sometimes fear but still...) would be taken out of it

Well last night did not work very well, I had a dream about dinosaurs chasing me and some random people around a forest and then through a thrift store... Probably because I had watched Jurassic Park that day on TNT :P But no lucid dream, I just cant seem to realize when I am dreaming.

And my goal is not to escape reality with Lucid Dreaming, It's basically just to have fun. Like become a super hero or talk to people you would like to meet. Just fun stuff like that. I guess it sorta is escaping reality, but it just sounds fun. Your senses feel very much real in lucid dreaming.

Do you start dreaming of your fantasy? and if so are you controlling whatever you want? That would be a lucid dream

Really? I never do not have them, I always (When I remember my dreams anyways) am able to go back and revise them as I have them, or change where I am...what's happening, etc. I can't pick what it starts at though, and I can't drastically change what it is. Example, I might be out at sea somewhere, and I could give myself a boat, and find an Island and explore that, but I couldn't just &quotoof" to the moon. For me I just sort of...decide what I want to happen and it does, I don't really know how else to explain it.

Hmmm You are probably really close then and should look into it. You basically have to realize you are dreaming though, and you could literally tell yourself... Ok i want to fly through mountains and you would start flying through mountains. And you would be in complete control.

I think I am similar to you, but I don't realize I'm dreaming. Sometimes in a dream I will think oh man I hope this does not happen, and then next thing I know it happens. Not exactly lucid though but really close.

Well when I dream, doesnt happen often but, I can literally control the dream and wake up and remember what i did.

I had a nightmare where i was fighting jeepers creepers scare crows in a field and some other stuff and literally was scary as hell. I remember my options and stuff and When i woke I remembered everything.

I have dreams close to that but its more like I'm in an old memory but I don't realize it until I realize I don't remember waking up and when i try to control it, it only works for a few swconds.

Try this tonight, if you wake up in the middle of the night, try not to move at all dont itch or anything and tell yourself you are going to have a lucid dream, then fall back asleep. Not promising anything but you might have a dream anyways. I dream everynight this way.

the only times I dream are when I am sleep deprived and sleep for a very long time... or just sleep for a very long time. a lot of the time i wake up unexpectedly during the middle of it... I think I remember having 1 lucid dream where I could control what was happening, but b/c I could control it I realized I was dreaming and woke up X'-(
