I'm not sure if you heard of it but here is a link http://www.world-of-lucid-dreaming.com/ There is a video on the home page, whatever.
Basically lucid dreaming is the ability to consciously direct and control your dreams. It transforms your inner dream world into a living alternate reality - where everything you see, hear, feel, taste and even smell is as authentic as real life.
I was just wondering if anyone was able to do this? I find i can get very very close but once i realize I am dreaming I get too excited and... well, wake up.
The site shows you different techniques on how to do it I would recommend checking out the site if you are interested.
Anyways one of the methods is called "Wake Induced Lucid Dreaming, A.k.a 'Wilds' You basically have to forcefully enter sleep paralysis and stay there until you literally pop into a dream or make yourself have an out of body experience and turn it into a dream. I chose this method because I almost ALWAYS start dreaming after i wake up and fall back asleep
I can get to the sleep paralysis stage after i wake up at about 3-4 in the morning but i can never hold it long enough. Sadly i pass out after doing it for about 10 seconds lol. Any tips? I realy want to master this skill.
Ya sadly that is the biggest issue I read on that website. You realise you are lucid or dreaming and then you wake up. But it says with practice, you should have done it so many times that it wont be as suprising and you wont wake up. I'm about to get some sleep and try it again tonight. Tired as hell
I love lucid dreaming. One time when I did it, I had every sense except taste all at once. Now when I dream, I usually acknowledge that I'm dreaming, but my mood is like, "Meh, it's a dream, so what?". I wish I could push it a little further than that now.
i have always really wanted to try this however im not sure it would be such a good idea for me as my dreams and my reality often seem to merge too much for my liking, by this i mean that when i wake up and i am totally convinced something (not usually bad or disastrous) that has happened in my dream has really happened in reality , for example ill gvet up get my books and start doing work i ahvent been set
the worst time that it ever happened was this one time i had a dream and woke up but in my head the dream was still happening and i didnt know my own house, i was a totally different person, and when i went back to sleep and woke up again the memory of doing it came back and it was really scary, i guess thats kinda like the opposite of lucid dreaming?? i dunno
Hey I have dreams sort of like that too haha, but ya lucid dreaming means you are aware you are dreaming so you are able to control it. I still have yet to master this.... it's very frustrating.
I finally did it! I was having a normal dream at first and when things started getting weird I was like... Wait if this is a dream... And i tried flying and I started flying around it was amazing! I was flying through a grand canyon like thing but with more mountain peaks and trees and rivers it was way too cool!
is lucid dreaming where you remember your dream and it seems so realistic that it's going to happen?
Lucid dreaming is when you realize you're dreaming while you're having the dream. Since you know that, you have absolute control over what happens in your dreams.
Lucid dreaming is where you are aware of the fact that you are in a dream and are able to control the scenarios that happen in said dream.
...Except I'm never able to pull it off. Every time I realize that I'm in a dream, the dream quits and I'm back to Stage 1 of sleeping. I had a really awesome dream about 3-4 years ago that, I could have sworn, lasted an hour and a half at least. The times that I'm not concentrating, I end up with REM working.
