I have always wondered, does typing with proper grammar (hope that's spelled right) appeal more to people? 1. typin lik this is rly fun bucuz i like it like this
2. I type with proper grammar because that's the right way to do it so I don't look like a slob.
a mixture of the two kinda like i dont use commas ever but i alway do everywhere else. Also i like using the accational awesome spelled word like kool or something.
I don't mind abbreviations or internet slang, as long as it makes sense. The biggest issue I see in forums is probably when people write long messages with no commas or periods in them. Makes it really annoying to read. Commas are really underrated.
Though, if I had to pick, I'd say reading proper grammar and spelling is more appealing. In forums, you have no good excuse not to use it, but in instant messaging I suppose I understand if people try to cut some corners to save time.
As long as it is readable it doesn't really matter too much. But some of my friends text me things that I really need to sit down and think over. not because it's deep, just because i need to decode what they're saying. it's ok if it's a few slight changes but it's bad when they type things that sound like the word.
it's kind of annoying but i really don't care. i hate text... when you think about it, it does no good at all. if you want to talk to them call them instead of texting in the middle of the street to get hit by a car, or text and drive and run over a 3 year old. It should be illegal globally and their should be a specicide (mass killing of a single species) of people who text, it endangers kids, and the person texting. (slight sarcasm with the whole specicide)
I use popper grammar and I think it's more appealing. i think chicks with proper grammar are hotter... don't know why I just do. Oh and good handwriting that's really hot (once again don't know why it just is).
I prefer to type with proper grammer but I don't really care is other people do or don't and long as its not lkie thisd if u knw wat i meen. But as long as I can read it.
I don't do it and I don't surround myself with people who do it excessively. Just take the time to type those two other letters in 'you.' It would prolly only take two more seconds anyway.
I don't care if others forget to capitalize words, use apostrophes, don't use commas, don't use colons/semi-colons, don't use periods. But as long as it's readable I'm fine with it.
The general consensus is that proper spelling and grammar with a reasonable margin of error is acceptable and preferred.
Took the words right out of my mouth...well fingers.
On forum, one should try to type normally. In a chat, I understand that you want to talk fast, especially if it's like in a game. But still, atleast make it clear.
Btw I type faster with proper grammar then with l33t grammar.
