They just sign up for the games. Which is funny 'cuz there are many good games here on AG and you don't even need to sign up.

He's asking what you think the appropriate age is, not what age Facebook should make it.
Honestly, I think children no younger than 14 should be on Facebook. I get all this friend requests from my friends siblings who are 9-13 and I don't know any of them. Then when I check their facebook profile I see they have like 1,200 friends. Honestly, why have so many friends?
But anyway, 14 is just the age at which you should have one.
It doesn't really matter. Just depends on the maturity level of the person and if they are young they'll need supervision so they don't talk with strangers. But you could just not let them have one.
I'd say around the age of 13. Most people usually get one around that age. But before they are allowed to have one, the parents should talk with them about it and monitor their Facebook page so that they aren't chatting with strangers/adding random people. I'm sure that people at the age of 13 would be able to understand and abide by rules and regulations that the parents give, but if not, then they shouldn't be able to have one.
The only thing that I use Facebook for is to chat with friends from school, friends that I haven't seen in a long time, friends that live too far away so I can't go over their house, friends that don't have their own phone. It's just to keep in touch.

Just because you don't like those apps doesn't mean that they are stupid. I admit that they don't bring any enjoyment to me, but they are a little fun to waste some time.

I have around 200-400 friends added on Facebook and all of then I have held conversations with in real life. However, I do see some of friends do have about 2,000 people added and most of them they don't even know. I just don't see a point in that.
Actually, a serious answer to your question is that so there's more going on on your facebook news feed. I have around 250 friends all of which i know but only around 25% Im actually friends with. I'm only friends on facebook with the other people because if i ever need to contact them and because there's more going on with the news feed that i possibly care about.

Well yeah. I mean, 900 friends is like the most a person should have. Facebook has a cap of 5 000 friends. There are only 32 people who have reached that cap and they are all musicians. Honestly, why would a high school girl needs 5 000 friends. I honestly think that there should be a cap depending on your age. If you're under 18, 1 000 should be the max.

Yup. And you can't really control that. And banning the whole age group because of a few immature kids isn't really the solution. Well there is no solution. This is Internet. Even with age restrictions we all know kids will still go on it.

I didn't say that. I said to keep supervision on the younger ones and not let the immature ones on without supervision because it would cause problems.

I didn't mean have access to the account. I meant have your child add you as a friend then you monitor who they add to see if they actually know them instead of adding complete strangers. And also make sure they aren't following inappropriate pages.

Try explaining that to the parents that regulary kill their daughters for not following islams insane rules. Maybe that's a bit extreme, but I don't think all parents are that open minded about that stuff. Or they wouldn't be monitoring in the first place right?

I think about maybe, fourteen or fifteen. Why? I mean, lots of inappropriate stuff is on Facebook, that nine or ten year old kids should be looking at. It actually, IS illegal to have Facebook under the age of thirteen.(Thirteen is Facebook's legal age, Although many do not fallow)Of course, Facebook would terminate your account if they new you were under thirteen. I would say 14. I have facebook friends that are 9/10?? That are my cousins/second cousins and that... I think it's wrong. But then again, it's your human right if you want to go on it, or if you don't.
i think the age limit should be 13 so by then people should be in like maybe 7th grade? so they SHOULD be mature enough to have a account thats why theres age limit restricitions you can set on your profile so people of certain age cant add you or see all of your page just your name and info but it souldnt surprise me if they raise up the limit to 14 or 15 but thats never gunna stop kids from making it say they are 20 then just select the option to hide your age on your profile so people wont think there 20
