When zombies come, get everyone you know together, keep em safe and the like, if one gets bit, sorry to say you may have to kill grandma. Next, get away from cities, as they will have more zombies then anywhere else, as the disease will spread quickly there. Find a nice country or rural area, kill any in the area, and watch out for zombies that are smarter and/or bigger than the others, they will be able to disassemble your fortifications quicker than average. Stockpile weapons, grow crops, and have some kind of lab working to study the end of Zombeism. Keep your people's morale high, and you should survive well into the apocalypse. Contact other settlements via radio as well, and keep a nice system of communication and trade between them. If one settlement falls, they all will...
For zombie tips, all you have to do is get the Zombie Survival Guide by Max Brooks. It has everything from how zombies are made to reported zombie attacks. Of course, most of the book is taken up by how to survive in a zombie outbreak, such as what weapons to use and where to survive. Just get it, you'll thank me when the zombie apocalypse happens.
4. Eat, drink, wait for the military to kill some undead freaks.
Military has a chance of failing, depending on how advanced the zombie breakout is and how effective the disease itself is.
and drive to a highway rest-stop. Those are pretty good places to make a 'base' at. Food, water, and not that many think of them, also there's like no houses near them so the only thing I have to worry about are car zombies.
You're joking right? 1. Highways will be completely clogged with people trying to escape and zombies. 2. From above there will be MANY zombies and trigger-happy civilians. 3. The rest stop would be looted by highway travellers
When zombies come, get everyone you know together, keep em safe and the like
Why everyone? Take whoever is most useful to you, like a strong brother or your best friend who's an athlete or gun nut, not everyone you know. Anyone who is not extremely useful is just another mouth to feed and another liability.
Next, get away from cities, as they will have more zombies then anywhere else, as the disease will spread quickly there.
As a result of the panic, yes.
Find a nice country or rural area, kill any in the area, and watch out for zombies that are smarter and/or bigger than the others, they will be able to disassemble your fortifications quicker than average.
*cough* WHERE do you fortify in a country/rural area? You never specified. And 'kill every zombie in an open,non-walled area' is very easy [/sarcasm], I mean zombies can't just waltz onto your cleared territory, they're not allowed!
Stockpile weapons, grow crops, and have some kind of lab working to study the end of Zombeism
HOW??? Unless you have a farmer, a mad scientist and a master scavenger as friends, all impossible.
Keep your people's morale high, and you should survive well into the apocalypse
Good point, but let it get too high and people will let their guard down.
Contact other settlements via radio as well, and keep a nice system of communication and trade between them. If one settlement falls, they all will...
Trading would be entirely inefficient and far too risky. Also, no, if one falls the others will NOT automatically as long as they don't somehow lure every zombie in the county to their compound.
Hmm... Quite awhile, I had always been fascinated with zombies and zombie survival, and after reading a few guides and other sources, I really got into it.
Okay highway rest-stop bad idea. Where would I go? I was thinking that maybe I should try to get to the rooftop of my apartment building to get a better view.
By zombies on the rooftop??? I doubt there would be any zombies there. My apartment door is about 4 or so feet from the stair well, the stairs fit two grown men shoulder to shoulder,(its pretty hard for zombies to pile up on that.) and the doors are pull doors to get out of the stair well.
