well in event of a zombie apocalypse, you get a years wort of food and water, stash it in the upstairs part of your house with a reliable gun, burn down the stairs behind you and be an uber camper noob until you run out of food, hopefully the zombies numbers will have gone down by
What if you were able to assemble a crew of bad *** mercenaries and take over a military base / armory. You could man the "big" guns and mortars and set up pretty solid fortifications around the base. Claymores land mines etc. You would have to start growing your own food though and fast! And somehow make a water purification system for the rain. That's just my two cents.
What was unrealistic about that? You fortify an armory and set up defenses, start a small farm.... do a basic make shift water purifer.. like water soaking through a cloth. Not that hard.

The zombies aren't going anywhere, they just want nomz and will wait a whole year for it :3
I don't think zombies are very realistic. They rot, and thus wouldn't be very strong, they shamble around in open daylight, making them pretty much defenseless against predators. In essence, they're walking hunks of meat.
However, zombies make for good games and movies, with the whole portrayal of entire populations being ravaged by infestation and civilization collapsing pretty much overnight.

yeah, but after a year the number o' zombies will be down because people will start to kill them, and your more likely to survive after 1 year than if you just walk out your front door.
They don't have to be on the roof, just surrounding the building. What movie was that?
I doubt my building would be surrounded it's not just out on the street. Even if it was, I would just be looking for how many zombies were outside my building. Anyways, I would probably try to find some loose bricks up there to kill an unfortunate zombie with.

Thatg is to say your mind holds out and you can handle the isolation in only a small portion of a house, with the endless cries of the dead keeping you awake at night and always present. Plus, how could you count on someone to come save you when there probably will be none?
