I'v been using the forums a lot for the past few weeks and i keep hearing about a rule that you can't revive old threads. Is there a rule and how old is the thread allowed to be?
I have a question about this. In my story I'm currently writing in the AMW forum, if I don't write for a while and then do another chapter, would that be necroing?
Think of it like this: Revive: You bring it actually back to life, with a good health and proper life to live. This is done by contributing properly to the discussion, and in most cases besides the not-yet-fully-dead threads, this means you would have to come with a valid, new point that can spur the (positive) discussion forward.
Necro: You just created a zombie. Good job ruining it. Is considered anything from spamming an old (dead) thread, to bumping it and "Here, let me help you solve this three year old mystery, dear user that has not been online for the last two".
Art threads are in most cases, unless the person is actually bumping/spamming or being a general moron, revive-able to the creator of it, for the sake of adding to the content of the thread. Exceptions can and will be: Contests, Post-type-of-content-here and other threads with multiple contributors.

ye well explained ( i didn't copy all of it because it would of been more like a spam comment) but i still don't really get the difference between duplicate threads and necro threads.
