I think that all main pokemon games up to crystal are the better out of the series... There's less pokemon to get, more glitches to toy around with, and the horrible graphics always give you a chuckle...
I don't think it's that. It's mainly the all the newer games are more of the same. They just keep making it look better, but put in lame pokemon and the game gets easier and easier to win, along with more tutorials.
What I think they should do is go back to the Pearl/Diamond graphics (The new version is REALLY annoying that way, especially the sideways buildings, and the zooming in on the Pokecenter when you enter it) and just combine ALL of the regions, raise the level limit, and make it so you can play through the entire series, along with bringing back the underground and secret bases, which are what made pearl/sapphire decent games.
I think people just grew tired of the first and second gen Pokemon. That's why the new black/white is so much more popular.
But people that played the original have personal childhood ties to the Pokemon so it really depends. Personally I would like the series to be a bit more complicated, there isn't much need of strategy in the game. Kinda feels like an over dramatized rock, paper and scissors.
That'll be the console game. Its too big for a DS game.
Works for me, although they could put it on the computer too. I just don't see why they don't do it, the new pokemon in general are pretty extremely lame, with names that make you want to facepalm and looks that make you think they are a crossbreed of previous pokemon.

Only in-game really. Once you start playing against real human players it quickly becomes much harder with numerous strategies. Though most follow smogon rules......
I hate black/white, what ever happened to the old pokemon! now anytime you want one in your game, you have to buy the old game, catch it, then give it to some one, switch back to your DS then have them trade it to you for another pokemon!!! And all these new pokemon are just...weird looking!
