Glados was such an irresistibly witty villain, I'm going to get Portal 2 just for her lines. I do hope they extend the campaign, because whilst Portal was short and sweet, it definitely felt very experimental. Other than that, I have high hopes for this game and can guarantee it will be very well received.

09:00 â" Hello again. 09:00 â" Iâve been waiting a long time for this. 09:00 â" I know itâs arriving later than expected. 09:00 â" But I have a message for you: 09:00 â" April Fools. 09:01 â" Iâm joking. 09:01 â" Seriously, though: 09:01 â" Youâve been surprisingly competent at 09:01 â" generating electro-chemical energy to jumpstart the system. 09:01 â" But now we need raw computational power 09:02 â" to speed up the reboot process.
This page is hilarious, it says it needs more computing power for launch. Then it lists all the indie games that were updated in the recent Indie update. So that means steam is tracking the CPU everyone on steam are have spent on these games. If they reach the target CPU before portal 2 comes out, I am guessing they will release the game early.
If STEAM, the evil corporation that deals with money, not reason, allows me to play PortalII without any faults concerning updates, then I will hop on the bandwagon and play it. Portal was such a great game, even though it was shortlived. I just hope that the game is much longer and I can play it. Mostly hoping that I can play it, though.
Are my searching skills failing me entirely or is this the most Portal 2 discussiony thread we have going in here? O.o
Kinda baffled at the lack of hype if so. Amazing game, though. Can highly recommend it if you're into FPS puzzles with dark humour and SCIENCE in the background.

FPS + Science = ...
Cannot compute. - A young FPS fan.
That's the gist of it, personally I'd prefer learn about Science for prolonged periods of time other than an FPS, mostly because I could actually develop some train of thought that surrounds the basic things around me - and more if I learn about it.
You know, instead of telling ragers to stfu and attempting to have a good time whilst dealing with their incredible verbal abuse.
Yep - that was biased and not a total assessment, so don't take that part seriously.
I seen Portal 2, looks amazing but Puzzles not my kinda thing, I'm more for the flat out (but also complex) games.
Ones that take pure brainpower without confusing you, Starcraft II and other RTS's as prime example.
The first one was great and im hoping the second one is even better!
It is in most areas.
There's more story, improved characterizations, it's a good deal longer, it's more polished, the maps, the puzzle elements... Ohandthemusic. The puzzles do generally seem to have simpler solutions, though, possibly because new elements are continually introduced so it never really switches away from "learning curve" to "actual challenges", which the first did.
Butbutbut, very recommendable. And try to avoid spoilers. It's so much better when you don't know what's gonna happen.

I might have misunderstood you, but just gonna say it anyway: You don't generally learn science from Portal. x) Aperture Science was populated by top tier mad scientists and their inventions are crazy.
How about that almost non-toxic fiberglass insulation pudding substitute that's meant to make food pass through dieting people so fast they can't digest it? Yeah? Okay, it got pulled from the markets. It makes you go really fast if you spill it on the floor and run across it, though.
