this is the thread for the general discussion for the re-release of these two amazing games.
so far to update, the rumors say that the re-release is supposed to come out sometime of spring of 2011, seeing how it IS spring of 2011, im doubting it.
i personally think that it will come out around late summer to early fall, seeing as they want to release the game that all this is building up for, the last guardian, sometime by later this year.
I never played Shadow of the Colossus, and Ico seems cool. So I am really happy about this. I hope this will be on the 360. If not, I guess I could always plug that old PS3 in.
i hope the last guardian is more awesome. ive been looking forward to it for a long *** time now. since they released the trailer for it back at E3 09 i think
Is The Last Guardian the one with the giant dog thing? I want to get that so badly. It's worth taking up my PS3 again. Ico actually doesn't look that cool. But I always wanted to play Shadow of the Colossus.

when i first got ico for the ps3 my mom bought it for christmas. i didnt really look good in commercials and stuff, but suprisingly enough, its actually a very good game. for games that have virtually no diolauge, they tell a fantastic story and really let you connect with the characters.
and yes the last guardian is the one with the large dog with wings.
all three of these games are supposed to be somehow link, fan boys like me have found out that infact all three storys take place in the same "earth" or planet/area. im hoping that somehow connections will tie themselves or whatever.
shadow of the colossus was FANTASTIC. i was so freaked out at how good (and how hard 0_o) that game was
YES! Great success! I loved playing that on the PS2 the enhanced graphics will make the game play that much more enjoyable!
oh god ya, thats the main thing that im looking forward to seeing in the game. the graphics were already super good for being a ps2 game. i cant wait to see what it looks like on the ps3 with the blue-ray and what not

Well maybe the dog thingy was being protected by the colossi. (that's the plural right?) Then it awakens once the last colossus dies. I don't know I didn't play the game.

well ive played both. and the stories themselves arent connected it doesnt seem. i havent played in a LARGE number of years so again im not the best source. but they do seem to take place in the same sort of area. the same planet at the least. im hoping that somehow the last guardian will bring things together.
but hey, if you get the rerelease you can find out yourself
Maybe I'm the only one who read up on this, and I have played Ico, and I remember that in Ico there was this whole debacle over boys having horns, also the sword (I think you got a sword) looks similar to SotC.
I noticed that at the end of SocT the main character after he was sucked into the vortex and turned into a baby, had horns. So by prologue I'm thinking centuries apart. Not dirrectly related, no, but in some way it is tied in.

well it is a prolouge cause the girl is wander. if im not mistaken anyways
I absolutely hated the controls, so I watched my friend play. He got to the last boss and we both failed at defeating it (I probably could have if I had put more than 10 minutes into the game prior). Such a shame I never got to see the ending.
I honestly did look the game up on YouTube, but I can't bring myself to watching the ending. Either I want to beat the game myself, or see someone beat it in person. Kind of weird, I know.
