From what I've read online fancy pants adventure shall arrive tomorrow!!!

and I quote PSN's "The Drop"

Fancy Pants Adventures â" Run fast, run fancy in the home console adventures of Fancy Pants Man. The Fancy Pants Adventures takes all the excitement from the original two games and delivers an all-new adventure designed exclusively for console! True to classic platform game play, Fancy Pants Man speeds through an entirely new world to rescue his kidnapped sister, Cutie Pants. Racing through unique open levels, Fancy Pants Man will explore vast lands, defeat challenging enemies and overcome clever obstacles on his quest to save his sister.

The creator of fancy pants will release a flash version, but the console version for PSN and XBLA will be released (presumably $5-$10)
tomorrow, woot!

ANOTHER CRAPPY FANCY PANTS ADVENTURE!? Why do people like these games!? The only reason why that I see is because the game is so polished and is directed solely to more casual gamers. That, and the games been copied and posted so many times across the internet that it HAS to gain popularity.

I wouldn't say crappy, but instead fun. The developer made a sequel to Fancy Pants because the first generated a lot of hits. The developer figured a sequel to the first, with extra features, would strike even harder, and it did. It's not hard to see why a more-direct version of Fancy Pants is going to be released. The people love the game, as do I.

The only reason why that I see is because the game is so polished and is directed solely to more casual gamers.

Explain? Yes, it's casual. It's not competitive or overly-challenging, but it's still a popular game. A game does not have to be action-oriented and filled with cut-scenes and cinematics for it to be popular. In fact, what I just described sounds like a movie. The point is, the game is great for what genre it satisfies. A side-scrolling adventure game. Sounds like Mario. Look how great he did. He's the flagship character of Nintendo, though other characters are more fitting to the title.

That, and the games been copied and posted so many times across the internet that it HAS to gain popularity.

Tell me, Paarfam, would E.T. The Extra Terrestrial for the Atari2600 be popular if it was distributed many times across the internet and released in flash form? If you say yes, I'm calling the government.

@Freakenstein
I see your point throughout all three of your "corrections" if you will. Truth is, I'm very biased when it comes to games I don't like, and Fancy Pants is just one of them. I would believe you if you were to tell me that you enjoy them, I (Unfortunately?) don't think that they're my cup o' tea.

Hey now, we've all done a ton to make sure that the core of FPA is super accessible, but everyone on the team is pretty hardcore gaming wise, so we stuffed as much stuff in the arcade game that we would enjoy ourselves. There's way more challenge in the game than there was in the Flash game, I can promise that.

King of the Hill is ridiculously competitive, there's nothing casual about lag free 4 player online with pixel perfect platforming combat. There's a demo out on XBLA and PSN, so you should at least try it out.
