HI PPLLLLLL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! ok all you have to do is create a riddle and try to solve the one before you. it'll be fun! i'll start...... when you pull me, you enter. when you push me, you leave. I am the boundary between old and new places. i go to the right, i go up down left, and sometimes split in half! what am i?
OK, since no-one else seems to be guessing for my last two riddles anymore: #1 is that the milkman is the only person that could be called John; the doctor and the lawyer were both female. #2 is parents.
If you already know the answer to the riddle, please don't answer. List the next three letters in this sequence and explain it. OTTFFSS
I could say that I knew the answer once, but I forgot it and figured it out this time (I don't really like this kind of 'riddles', where you mainly have to guess at random, but after hearing the answer a long time ago, I looked into this sort of stuff and learnt some answers by heart); ENT (and then ETTFFSENT...), which would stand for "eight, nine, ten".
A grandfather is telling his grandson war stories.
"At the end of World War 1, I was awarded for my bravery after saving a group of my men," the grandfather says. "You see, we were fighting in northern France and one of our enemies threw a grenade at us. I managed to pick it up and throw it away before it exploded. So right after the war ended, a General gave me a sword, engraved with the words 'Awarded for Bravery and Valor, A True Hero, World War 1'."
The grandson thinks about the story for a minute and then says "Grandpa, that story can't be true!" How did the grandson know?
I know! Because WWI was called the Great War, because they didn't know that there would be a second one. It was only after the second world war that they started calling them WWI and WWII!! (I actually learned something in SS class!!!)
World War 1 was called "The Great War" and "The War to End All Wars" in the time before World War 2. Obviously no one ever thought another worldwide war would occur, and they were, unfortunately wrong.
Back to the riddle, the grandpa would not have received a sword engraved with "World War 1" if he was getting the gift before the name "World War 1" had been given.
I'm not sure if there are any other riddles, but here is one.... I am the beginning of the end, and the end of time and space. I am essential to creation, and I surround every place. What am I?
well done! What about this one... Three brothers share a family sport: A non-stop marathon The oldest one is fat and short And trudges slowly on The middle brother's tall and slim And keeps a steady pace The youngest runs just like the wind, A-speeding through the race "He's young in years, we let him run," The other brothers say "'Cause though he's surely number one, He's second, in a way."
