i appreciate E games, but sometimes if you have too many E games on a system, you don't dray fan support from a wide range of gamers. it just so happens that there are a lot of people who are fans of hardcore games on this thread. E games are not always terrible, but base you system almost entirely on them is going to cause some people to love it, and others to haste it. Unfortunately this is the way the the gaming community works often times, and you rarely find people that can appreciate all different kinds of games.
Again, how is a game better than another strictly from what it was labeled from ESRB? Not only is your paragraph incomprehensible, it is also biased. You talk of fan support from a wide range of gamers. With E-rated games, everyone is able to enjoy the game without questionable content. Does this not count as a wide range of gamers? How is having a wide amount of E-rated games going to change a thing about your gaming experience?
Talking about "hardcore games" is utter stupidity. How do you define "hardcore gaming"? Because I can't. No, it's not about how tough the game is. No, it's not how popular it is. No, it's not the specific genre of the game....So what is it? Talking of a game as "hardcore" implies it is better for gaming, and in reality, it really isn't. People talk of CoD and Halo as hardcore, and from a standpoint, I think "how droll and repetitive".
A hardcore game would be something that has an enormous skillcap and is very difficult to do well at.
I automatically dub every strategy and puzzle game as hardcore. Everyone should play them now, because they are hardcore.
There's the door, now take your bias with you.
