Lots of people tell me minecraft is like runescape, anyone agree? I own minecraft and Runescape i think they are nothing like i dont actually play on runescape because i find it rubbish but i want to kno what other people think.
There's nothing about them that's the same, except perhaps the low quality graphics. The difference is that those low quality graphics actually fit a game like Minecraft.
What are you smoking. In Minecraft you can create your own world (with the right addons). In Runescape you run around killing things 50 lvls lower them you with your rune scimmy.
Runescape is an adventure RPG, while Minecraft is an adventure sandbox game.
For now, the two are completely different. When Notch actually confirms and develops the "adventure" side of Minecraft, there may be some similarities brewing.
minecraft is dumb runescape is amazing
Your reasons? I have no clue about Runescape other than it's an MMO, so I can't really fire back. But N00bSlayer, you've been around for a long time and have 777 posts; you should know better than to post an opinion without a reason. You're killing me, smallz!
On a different note, there are mods that implement various RPG elements into Minecraft, such as skill point increases, made popular by The Elder Scrolls series. It's very interesting.
theres not many differences between minecraft and runescape EXCEPT THAT THEY HAVE NOTHING TO DO WITH EACHOTHER EXCEPT THE GRAPHICS THAT RUNESCAPE DOESNT SUIT! i quit runescape 5 minutes after joining. 5 MINUTES!
OK, just take a step back and think of the basic concept of Minecraft: Build sh*t out of different kinds of blocks, with a tinge of realism. I don't think it gets more childish than that. I'm not defending runescape necessarily, just pointing out the flaw.
And heavens no they are NOT alike, everything I can think of is completely different...
I played Runescape for ~2 years on and off, went inactive for ~2 years, then came back on and am semi-active. I've been around the block with free and pay-to-play rpg/games, and I actually like Runescape. Now before all of you say 'yeah you're addicted and you have no life and no friends haha runescape ***', the most I play in a day is 3 hours overall, then I get bored and do something else. I think the reason most people say they quit RS within '5 minutes' is because the game does not immediately start out as fun; In fact, I'll straight up say the first 50 levels aren't very fun. It start s actually getting fun once you get your character and your skills going, and you start really experiencing the effects of all your work. Yeah,m yeah, 'no life, do something else...' You know, if you honestly are on a FLASH GAME SITE wasting your time trolling people who honestly don't give a flying f', YOU get a life. I use Runescape as just a recreational activity whenever I don't have anything else to do, it is not life
-consuming and is just an activity I can dump my spare time into and have a decent amount of fun while I'm at it.... It's not really that fun as f2 (like most others), but Membership is where ALL the fun stuff is... Again, like most others. I also hear people say that Runescape is the poor man's World of Warcraft.... I played it a little bit on a friend of a friend's account-thing, and it just really did not suit my playing habits, I'm not paying 30 bucks or whatever it is a month when I'm only playing maybe 1-2 hours a day. 5 dollars for MEmber Runescape seems like a much more affordable way to pass my spare time.
