Such intelligent posts. Yugioh should go work for Gamespot as an official game reviewer, as I'm sure he'd get fired on his first post.

Not even before the launch of games start piling up, and you're already giving the system a kick in the behind. You call yourselves gamers? I don't ev....You know what, here, let me start off for a bit. Here's what I would buy for the 3DS:

Professor Layton vs. Phoenix Wright:

Samurai Warriors:

Steel Diver:

Balloon pop 2:

Kingdom Hearts:

Kid Icarus: Uprising:

Kirby:

Legend of Zelda:

Contra:

....and others. Now, you may have noticed that I didn't even put some of the more popular releases. Which is fine. Some of those looking may not even have heard of these games that originate from the earlier releases of Nintendo, which is fine too. Being an older gamer than the minimum age of viewers, by 6 1/2 and a frequent gamer of the SNES and DS, I can say with utmost confidence that these games will be very excellent and will sell well.

You look me in the eyes and tell me that these games aren't going to be very popular, without playing them, and you tell me that the 3DS isn't going to benefit from the sales of these games. Expensive dust collector indeed...

Who said I thought you said that?

what yo were doing was denying me my right of free speech

Well, I can't really deny you free speech, since I can't prevent you from posting in the first place. Second of all...you call that an opinion? Okay, sure it is. However, opinions can be much better. You cannot review hardware that hasn't even popped its head out of the birth canal. You cannot be a Spartan and throw your newborn down a cliff because you think it won't be strong. I'm going to reassert the "you aren't giving it a chance" post. Because you really aren't.

Nothing about this is infringing upon your free speech or "stating that everyone will do the same as you". I am merely saying that anything, bad or good, being said about the 3DS is highly inaccurate and unfounded because nothing about it is ready yet. How do you know that the 3DS is going to be so terrible? Even on the basis of having experience with the original DS is inaccurate, because the 3DS can be a completely different wedge of cheese.

All I'm saying is to not count your chickens before they hatch.

Well, but the R4 3DS card seems sell well.

Nintendo: It's unhackable
Hackers: *One day later*, we've hacked it.

Such intelligent posts. Yugioh should go work for Gamespot as an official game reviewer, as I'm sure he'd get fired on his first post.

I'm sure Ign and Gamespot would promote him. Who goes and takes those reviews seriously? They get paid by the companies then they crank out a score.

Legend of Zelda:

Ocarina of Time but not Majora's Mask, that's where it's at.

Expensive dust collector indeed...

Well there aren't many good games out now so It will be a expensive dust collector till they get games pumping through the veins and Nintendo steps up.

i just stated my opinion on the system so what yo were doing was denying me my right of free speech

He wasn't denying you anything you just didn't post a solid response so it was made fun of since you didn't even back a personal opinion.

ps you want to know why i dont like the system for me the games are boring i need action not just sitting there touching a screen with a pen

Whats the difference from mashing a controller or a mouse? Why did you even buy it if you don't play games of the genre?

that costs like 5 bux btw (exageration for some reason you need to say that on the internet) thinking zomg touching things is fun teehee

Yeah so? The led in a console probably cost a few cents. Zomg shooting people mindlessly in shooting games is so much fun teehheahahrheheh. No point insulting it if you can't prove it honestly sucks for everyone. Just say you don't like that genre.

btw im not posting on anything you post on from now on

Good job you will have to avoid a lot of other people that will point out your the logical flaws in your arguments and opinions. Of course most of the time it wouldn't be their fault if you get buthurt because of it. But it's life, not everyone is nice, agrees with you or shares the same opinion.

Peronsally I would buy it, I've done quite a bit of research into it and I say honestly say I am impressed. I thought 3d was going to be just a gimmick, but then I realized good graphics are just a gimmick too? They aren't necessary they just add to the an already great experience. If done tastefully 3d could do the same and I'm confident Nintendo won't screw up 3d again.

I actually think its pretty crap in mt opinion, i own a ds lite and apparently u can only get 3ds games to work in the 3ds and regular games wont work. i have a few regular ds games it would be a waste to get it then i couldnt play them

According to this IGN article, the 3DS will be backwards compatible with the original DS games. However, any game before the DS's generation will not work, as it does not employ a GBA slot, like the DSi. This is a total bummer for me, as I wished that, including the GBA games, the 3DS would also be able to support earlier-generation games. So I can either emulate GBA and lower, or I can find a GBA-SP so I can get to play my Gameboy games with a backlight.

@Freakenstien the hand-held is pretty slim and I think a GBA slot would be pushing it. They probably had it original in the plans but scrapped it due to interest and space (you have to admit that that thing takes space). It would be nice but it's not like any other console or portable goes back more than a generation. Ps3 being an except but only the first ones that were sold the newer ones got that stripped.

Would be nice if the eshop had older games for discount like the wii has but with more of a selection. Maybe some homebrew will come out and it will be again the people who put features nintendo was to lazy to implement.

I think it will be really horrible graphics compared to anything else. Im not exaggerating but it will be I remember DS Lites graphics once i got an 360...well lets just say i have no idea where it is...

I think its a good handheld system the first few times you play with it. But it seems to get boring after a while, i own both a 3DS and a DS lite. I usually play the lite, because its just easier to handle. The 3D concept is cool though because instead of being a &quotopping out" 3D, its more of a whole new world looking in 3D. I give it 3 stars. I wouldnt have paid $250 for it though, maybe 150.

Yeah...I'm just bummed out about it though. But hey, I guarantee if it cannot be normally played on the 3DS, someone out there will find a way to port it. AceKard, for example, contains hardware that can port every older generation of Nintendo games, excluding the N64 for the lack of buttons. So if I go through a Gameboy phase again, all I have to do is transfer the games I have through a flash drive and just stick the data in there.

Hey Onelove, since you own a 3DS, what games do you have for it?

I have one and the 3d is pretty sweet. I dont have any games for it yet but the little cards that came with it are pretty fun anyways. Im looking forward for some of the old games remade though.

Scroll down to "How powerful is the 3DS?" Inside, the article reads: "Several developers that have experienced 3DS in its current form have reported, off the record, that it has processing capabilities that exceed the Nintendo Wii, and with 3D shaders they can make games that look close to current generation visuals on the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 on the lower resolution screens.", as well as a bit of info compared to the original DS: "expect it to well surpass the Nintendo DS in both visuals and processor capabilities. To provide stereoscopic 3D effects the system must have the ability to render each game field twice, one for each of the player's eyes, a technique that will require significant horsepower to produce."

With this, expect the 3DS to be a very powerful machine with low-resolution.

the resolution of the bottom screen has been increased from 256x192 to 320x240.

However, 320x240 is a large number for such a tiny screen.
