I thought this thread was going to ask if your country calls them fries or chips.

It depends on the occasion, but I normally prefer chips.

I'd say that if it was lays sour cream and onion chips then chips. or even pringles id say chips. but i still like fries.

Chips are the common slang term for Potato Chips. Like Lays and such.

I prefer chips, simply cause I can eat more of them, and they have better taste then french fries. Unless they are Checker's french fries....

Chips! Fries are good especially poutin (all the the people in Quebec will understand what I mean). But chips just is more awesome than fries.

The taste is equal, but chips are more portable than fries and taste good even if cold. And more flavors in chips than fries!

Hmm, fries are better, but I only eat them in an actual meal. Chips are good to eat as a snack or when you're not seating.
