Apparently watching too much TV makes the arteries in the backs of the eyes smaller, in children aging from 6-7. This increases their risk of heart related illness and Diabetes.
Wanna know what you can do to watch TV and be healthy? Invest in a treadmill. Place in front of or close to TV. Ta freakin Da.
Diabetes... wut. How is watching TV going to do that? Sure staring at a TV up close or a computer screen, we all know that it does affect the eyes after some time, but the only reason you are increasing your chance of heart disease is because you aren't getting enough physical exercise. They made one commonly known fact, to an outrageous leap.
Paarfam, that's the kind of response I'd expect from a certain buzzkill, not you. Basically, the point was that people keep coming up with new things that are dangerous to your health all the time. That's just sort of a sarcastic way of saying "give it a rest, we get the point"... Obviously.
It doesn't just go that far, I mean things like Promod and Dedicated Servers are usually only limited to the computer, and those are mostly for first person shooters.
Look at the crosshairs in the first video for the R700 (or M24), those have been shortened in later versions because they (used to be) constantly updated.
Anyway. The first link is from Ars Technica, the last 2 are from YouTube, PC > TV, and TV I only use for watching Stargate or DVD's
PC > TV in terms of gaming. I mean, the analog sticks are good but does it compare to the keys and precision of a keyboard and mouse? Are you saying you can do this on a console?
For strategy games I agree. You can't have anywhere near as many hotkeys on a console. It just works better on PC. As for shooters and many other games, it is a preference thing. I prefer the sticks of my controller. I feel they are more sensitive to exactly how far I want to move then a button on a keyboard is (not talking about the mouse here at all).

This is most likely due to computers having been online for longer than consoles. They are catching up. Many online console games also have these frequent patch updates now.
PC gaming is also much more expensive if you want to be able to run the same games at the same speeds as you do on a console.
