Version Information
The New International Version (NIV) is a completely original translation of the Bible developed by more than one hundred scholars working from the best available Hebrew, Aramaic, and Greek texts.
The initial vision for the project was provided by a single individual â" an engineer working with General Electric in Seattle by the name of Howard Long. Long was a lifelong devotee of the King James Version, but when he shared it with his friends he was distressed to find that it just didnât connect. Long saw the need for a translation that captured the truths he loved in the language that his contemporaries spoke.

I fail to see what your getting at?
My translation says "Every word of God is refined; He is a shield for all who take refuge in Him."
So i don't really know what to say. Besides for that, Proverbs wasn't even supposedly written by God. It was completely written by man.

No i don't know what to say because all i can argue is that my translation is correct. Also i did say something and that is that God never said his word is flawless, man did.
Isn't A.D based off of jesus's birth. Even now that they've changed it it's still the same dates.
Just out of curiosity, why would a God write/dictate a book that could be taken many different ways? If he wanted a book that shows off his divine magnificence, wouldn't he have written/dictated that something totally indisputable be written? That is, something written totally literally.
If they are the same dates, as you say, then you support the idea that Jesus Christ was born B.C.E. So if it was off Jesus's birth, you would think they would position him right on the start of the Common Era. I am not sure what I am arguing about anymore, but BCE using the same timeline as the primitive A.D. and A.C. doesn't.mean.squat.

Because it's good if everyone has their own religion. We're all right in a way. Whichever way anyone think they are correct. That's the beauty of it. It's open for interpretation.

The beauty is that no one can understand what it says? What is Yahweh intending to give with this book? "Well I am omnipotent, I could give them a book which tells them the secrets of the universe. Or I could give them an ambiguous book, which will be a lot more fun. Lets go with the second one.
I'm just guessing that they didn't want them to rise again and try to take back the city but i have no idea. Also "MOST OTHER NATIONS WOULD'VE killed some but left tem in their city under their control" is completely false because the only nation i know of that did this were the Romans.

You see if you look closely you will see a miraculous absence of the word consent.
If people don't follow it than those people aren't following the bible. If you are breaking the rules than you can't say the rules are bad because they are being broken. If i don't follow a law does that mean its a bad law? Not necessarily, it just means i didn't follow it and I'm subject to the punishment given for not doing so.

The entire bible was written by man. Even you must agree with that.

OK I interpret it as God is a selfish bas****. People have wars over differences in religion, how is this a good thing? And by your logic no religion is correct because no one knows what god truly meant so logically being an atheist is the best choice.

If you read my post, you are missing "the original hebrew text implies" in my post. You can't fully understand the bible with an english translation.
But God made people so that they'd disobey his book.
He made people with free choice so they can chose to disobey his book or chose to obey it.

No i don't. There are two bibles in my religion, an oral one and a written one. The oral one was given by God and has laws that were passed down orally and they written one was supposedly dictated by God for man to writes. So indirectly, God did write it.

You said that the teachings about morals in the bible aren't applicable to today's world, but then I don't see why the other teachings in the bible should apply, since they are as old and outdated as the others.
