I am an atheist from a deist background, none of my family are strongly religious, but i am interested to hear the christian viewpoint on some things:

what exactly are fallen angels?angels can they be evil, do they have free will, or are they just apart of god?

and could someone explain some things about revelations to me? who or what are the beasts from the land and the earth, the 24 elders and the four living creatures?

i know i cant stop you, but for my sake could people please not dispute these points until they have been answered

This is my take on these matters

what exactly are fallen angels?angels can they be evil, do they have free will, or are they just apart of god?

Fallen angels is basically a fancy name for demons. Before man or earth was made, God had many angels in Heaven with Him. But one, Lucifer, the angel of praise, grew jealous and convinced about a third of the angels to turn against God. God then threw them out of Heaven to Earth and Hell (hence the term fallen angels, since they fell)

and could someone explain some things about revelations to me? who or what are the beasts from the land and the earth, the 24 elders and the four living creatures?

Really no one can fully understand all of Revelations, as it is one crazy metaphor after another.

Actually, it was jewish propaganda circulated amongst the jewish sects to make them feel better while they suffered under roman rule. The beast mentioned is a reference to Nero, who started the whole lions eating christians thing.

Nero reigned from 54 to 68 AD. The book of Revelations was written in 95 AD by the apostle John. John was a Jew, but was a Christian, or follower of the The Way, as it was called then.

The process didn't necessarily end with Nero. The practice could've still been written about.

I like Philip Pullman's theory (regardless of its fictional context). "Fallen" Angels actually wanted to aid mankind while God wanted man to serve and adore only him.

If you think about it, such a theory fits. God says over and over how he is a jealous god and that there should be no gob but him. Meanwhile Lucifer, is very nonchalant and says do what you want. Yet somehow people think god is good. How is god good if he encourages backward thinking and tyrrany?

You can take a shortened verison of the quiz
I am very pleased to state I got 15/15.
Weird quiz. "What preacher led the First Great Awakening?" Should a believer bother with a false prophet? "Which of these religions aims at nirvana, the state of being free from suffering? Hinduism or Buddhism?" - Both, dammit, while you can select only one of the answers. I missed this one. And Google helped with laws knowledge, since I lack this by obvious reasons. (However I'm heavily disappointed by performance of Evangelical Protestants in the question about Job.)
By the way, is there a long version of that quiz available at least in format of plain reading?
Same could be asked of you in relation to god.
I gave you enough already. You here come and start freethinking about what are fallen angels, having little to zero base of knowledge about what are angels at all, and then you demand of believers how should we explain all you have amassed.

I would have gotton a 15/15 as well, if not for the "Which religion believes in Nirvana" question, where both Hinduism and Buddism believe in it and I wasn't so tired I didn't think of selecting them both >.> Anyways...

I think they had the telephone survey questionnaire available somewhere in there. I remember seeing a link to it anyways.

Firstly, sproos please type more carefully, at times it can be a little difficult to understand.

Secondly, that E1337 the survey isn't about Christianity specifically, it's about religion in general. Most Christians don't spend time arguing with buddhists, but since atheists are opposed to all it makes sense that they'd have more general knowledge.

Lastly; that's all I can contribute, actually. I don't know the answers to those questions. Sorry :/
