You all remember growing up with those adorable little monster, that was over ten years ago and yet they will not die. Come here and give your opinion on the show and games, do you love it, do you hate it, are you excited for the next installment, that you just know is coming, or do you think it deserves to be taken into a dark room and put out of our misery, whatever your opinion share it here. I for one loved the original, but I'm getting kind of tired of watching the main character fail at all he does, but thats just my opinion, so whats yours.
I loved the shows as a child but I obviously grew up haha. But I still play the games for the handheld > Like red, yellow etc. Have not really played any of the newest ones.
Yeah the only reason I even watch every now and again is due to a desire to know how it ends, but I fear it will never end and in a thousand years he'll still be the same snot nosed brat riding around in his automobile, with some chick, and a pedophile.
I remember watching the nostalgic episodes... Just the other day my brother was watching the newer episodes on TV so I decided to watch with him, ya'know, to rekindle with my past. It was some Sinnoh DP crap. I didn't recognize anything on it, it was completely different then what I had grew up with. It was awful. Oh well, people are always talking about how crappy kids' television is nowadays. *sob*

I really liked the series and i find i find it a shame i haven't watched them all, unfortunately i can't find them in dutch on the internet and watching them in english is a little strange when i grew up with the dutch version:P
The games are also awesome, only what you see in for example pokemon black is that the old pokemon have dissapeared. That's why i like heartgold/soul silver more than black/white
Another thing I hate about the show, Pikachu isAsh's go to pokemon he uses it to beat the higher rank gym leaders, yet at the start of every new version he can barely even handle the bottom tier, Pikachu should be like Lv 100 by now.
Pokemon was good for a while but then I grew older and it became extremely predictable. I still find it amusing how i actually thought the show was the coolest thing on Earth..
The show is the same as it was when it first started, except, with each new season, they get more clayish looking, Ash gets a new hat, his "crew" changes clothes/people, his pokemon "delevel" the voice acting gets worse, and they have ever more so obvious "morals" in each episode that they try to teach you. The games stopped being fun after Diamond/Pearl, I really expected more w/ soul silver/gold, but they take out the best things in each version and put in something stupid. For example, in DP, you had the underground, which was amazing. Then comes Soul silver/gold, which takes out the underground and gives you a game corner with 1 GAME. That is not a game corner. It's some creepy dudes house who has no life and plays voltorb flip for eternity.
I remembered I played pokemon. I liked the original games, and the silver/gold ones. I think after that, there were way to many pokemon and they were pushing it. The one after that, it was just crazy. Seriously, I didn't catch the original 150 pokemon, and they expect me to catch 1000 more? Ridiculous. I stopped playing after the second or third ones. If I ever want to play it again, I'll try the old ones.
And as or the show, it was extremely repetitive. I didn't really watch it, but the pattern is the same thing. His pikachu was overpowered. I remember in the game, all I would train is a pikachu, and I could barely pass anything. They were lying to a poor kids around the world, who were training their pikachus.
Pokemon should have died out a LONG time ago, but somehow its sttill here. kind of like mario, but mario has all new stuff with every new game. theres the original, smg, mario kart etc.. so thats why people still love it, but pokemon, i was addicted for a short whil to emerald and thats it. I had diamond and traded it back for some other game. its basically the same game over and over, just with more than one version so that you should by both of them to get all of the pokemon (RIPOFFS!!!). I dont see what people see in pokemon.
and the episodes stink. I watched like 5 of them online and never watched it again, onee word: REPETITIVE

I'm turning 20 this summer, I've had a Gf for three years now and an apartment for two years and I'm still eagerly awaiting each new game to buy it and play it. I'm really a pokefreak ^^.
