How can you compare these 2 gta 4 is on the ps3 and gets a unfair advantage over gta san andreas having a technological advance on it....
That being said gta san andreas achieved a large storyline and excellent gameplay even in its own time.
GTA 4 is excellent because of thier expierience on gta sa all they had to do was pretty up gta sa, put in a new char, and change the format and city (adding new features) but i belive that gta 4 has done much more than that.
All of the gtas have been steadily increasing in awesomeness, GTA 4 has got such good rep that they barely need to advertise except say "WE FINISHED!" and publish the beastie, the gta veterans will produce the players.
Whereas a game that was unknown would really have to market itself
