Its true. In terms of everything, the humble PC wins. Playstation network apparently isn't safe, I don't want to pay dues for internet access for Xbox Live, and the Wii isn't a hardcore gaming system. It's for driving Mario around with all your 8 year old friends.
there is no specific 'best console' but my favorite console i say would have to be the snes. that was when games got really fun, but not ridiculously difficult. take super metroid fr example, at first, you die or get stuck a lot, but after some deaths and restarting the game a few times (happens much more in the origional if you don't write down the passwords) you end up realizing what you're suposed to do and you feel truely accomplished by figureing out how to kill that boss or find that invisible passagway.
I would say ds (3ds) because i little portable gaming more than console gaming. Plus, its the first 3d handheld system. I place my vote on Nintendo DS (3DS).
