I think time is just an idea created by humans to measure how long things take. its hard to explain in detail but hopefully you understand what im saying
60 seconds = 1 minute 60 minutes = 1 hour 24 hours = 1 day 7 days = 1 week 365 days (or 366 on leap years) = 1 year 12 months = 1 year 10 years = 1 decade 10 decades = 1 century 10 centuries = 1 millennium Approximately every 4 weeks is a month. Approximately every 52 weeks is a year.
Time is often written as (Hour)Minute) After reaching 12 on the minute, people often go back to 1, instead of 13.
Leap year - A year with one extra day. Happens every four years. List of upcoming leap years: 2012, 2016, 2020, 2024, 2028.
List of months and the amount of days they have:
January - 31 days February - 28 days, or 29 on leap years. March - 31 days April - 30 days May - 31 days June - 30 days July - 31 days August - 31 days September - 30 days October - 31 days November - 30 days December - 31 days
If you do not remember the amount of days in the months, here is an easy way to remember:
Put both of your hands together, in fist form, with the fingers facing away from you, and your left hand on thee left. Knuckles are 31 days, and the space in between them is 30 days. The knuckle all the way to the left is January. It has 31 days. Notice February is in between the knuckles. February only has 28 days (sometimes 29) even though it is on a 30 day spot. Please remember this. Once you reach July, you will transfer to the left knuckle on the other hand. August does have 31 days.
This is my view of time. I worked hard on it. I wasted time writing this. I could have been studying for my Science quiz.
We can't really discuss opinions on time when there are so many theories that theoretical physicist have already come up with. They use math and whatnot to prove their theories so just coming up with pointless guesses on what little we understand is dumb.
The only thing we know for certain about time is that it's an arrow; it's been traveling in one direction since the conception of the universe. Now, that doesn't mean it has always continued at a constant speed and gravity can have profound effects on the speed of time.
Just as a random thought, the second is defined as
the duration of 9,192,631,770 periods of the radiation corresponding to the transition between the two hyperfine levels of the ground state of the cesium-133 atom.
Time is just a measurement that we have come up with
That's not true. The measurements of time (ie second, hour) are, indeed, measurements. Time itself is a whole other thing.
As in is there a measure of time that is completely objective. One that ignores gravity (or rather is measured outside of gravity) and human concepts such as years. Or is it possible to determine an "absolute" sense of time.

They're still human concepts; perhaps other species would use different measurements, still measurement buts based upon different criteria.

True, depending on the gravity of their planet (if they happen to be aliens) and the base measurement (second) the measurements would be different. The person I was replying to said that time itselfwas a measurement.
