is anyone a cod fan anymore. with crysis 2 out, battlefield 3 coming out and looking amazing, with all the other shooters that look like they were what cods ganna make when modern warfare four comes around like really... if anyone still is ganna say 'cods the best shooter STILL' your ganna be sad when there are only 10,000 people playing mw3

They're to different to compare. Battlefield is more strategy based, larger maps and vehicles make it so more thought is needed. COD is more skill based, faster reflexes, better h/e c, and more map knowledge. I'm going to go with COD.
@RenegadePlayer I'm sorry, but are you high? COD is the best selling franchise of all time and will stay that way for some time. The only bad COD was MW2.

They are to great to be compared, some may disagree but all in all they are both great in their own respects.

Compare CoD4 to MW2 and Black Ops.
They're both bad and it's gone downhill. MW2 had a completely messed up gameplay whilst Black Ops had bad gameplay and technical problems (such as hit registration).

CoD hasn't gotten its standard (or ACTUAL competition) since CoD4.

I'd compare CoD4 to Bad Company 2, but that's quite of an unfair assessment, I'll stick with Battlefield 2.

Battlefield 2 has a multitude of classes, plenty of tactical options in large 64-player maps and allows your own play style to be successful if you're capable of following it up since situations quickly change.

Call of Duty 4 is a fast paced, balanced shooter that has a lot of maps made for different things, some quite obviously (hai Creek). Your strategy is usually the same, but the adrenline rush is what really takes over. Your weapon is simply best fit to how far you regularly shoot and furthermore your positioning in these small maps in order to get maximum effect. Furthermore, this has insane pro-competition, such as I40-41-42.

I think that both are great FPS games. Personally I am not a hardcore gamer so both games seem pretty awesome to me.

I prefer battlefield, i own bad company 2 myself. But it's just like the others said, only your own opinion matters and these games are quite different.

I dont like COD, i hate the ''corridor''-story mode and the stupid perks and weapons. COD is good sometimes, but Battlefield is more of an epic experience than the ragequit COD is.

Battlefield of course! Destructive environments, large maps and vehicles. Call of Duty is just Over hyped pile of sh*t.
But its just my opinion. im not actually waiting for Battlefield 3 but its clearly better than coming MW3 or whatever it is...

I think the question is SemperFIN, why aren't you waiting for BF3?

Oh, and what you said basically highlights that Battlefield will blow up Activision.

Teehee.

Showing the greatness of the Frostbite 2 Engine and what it will do to CoD.

Personally, COD is full of campers and multiplayer overall that is designed to piss u off.(ahem, killstreaks) Battlefield is original, has better graphics, and better players. It takes no skill to go 30-0, most just sit in the corner with the ak/heartbeat sensor. Battlefield requires teamwork.

Black Ops is the best yet, its the best balanced COD yet, and the map design is great. COD 4 has to be second though, mainly because it lacked customizable killstreaks, and still lacked the balance that Black Ops did so well. In order from favorite to most disappointing, I would have to go Black Ops, Cod 4, WaW, COD 2, COD 1, COD 3, and MW2.

I prefer Homefront. Its like a mixture.

Although if my life depended on it I'd say Battlefield. Why? It's because Its bigger.

How? The controls are a clone of CoD's, the american invasion story is a pseudo clone of CoD's... BAH! same problem with Turning point, only it is a halfway decent shooter.

besides, that...

Battlefield 3! They tested that Frostbite on us console gamers for 2 games, now they've revolutionized it to frostbite 2.0 for the better of the PC gamers...

AND THE CONSOLE GAMERS!!! W000000T!!!

Gstroy, you're aware of where I got it all from? Right?

Do that and get paid, that's all I need to say.

AND THE CONSOLE GAMERS!!! W000000T!!!

Despite the fact I prefer the PC over console, I like that they focus more on the PC but also give what is needed to the consoles.

All videos go to YouTube by the way. Here's my favourite CoD4 montage.

Balance is not an issue for Black Ops since they didn't get some things like Hit Registration right, in my opinion - not only that but its bad anyway. A knife / tomahawk / crossbow > anything else, correct?
