Last night I was playing some game. I made a comment about the opening and tried to refresh the page when an ad prevented it from loading correctly. But when I did this I was automatically logged out of my account and I could not log back on at all until the day after. I am just curious as to what caused this to happen. Thanks before-hand for replying.

Interesting topic. I may have really much wrong now; but you maybe got banned for some hour. I don't know how it is to be banned. So I just guess.

It can be a technological problem to.

Hmm. Interesting. I'll bring this up with the guys at the office and see what the conclusion is

You could've been temporarily banned - if you were then tried to login then you would be redirected to a page that tells you the reason why.

If you weren't banned - then I don't know how else the problem could've occurred.

TheOrange, if you're still around, can you clarify two things, for me at least?

---What did you do when the advertisement appeared? Did you try to close it when it logged you out or were you logged out as the advertisement showed up?

---How did you try to log on? What showed up when you were denied a sign-in? Were you brought to a "unique" area of the site or were you just brought to the homepage?

I just find it hard to believe that being banned did that. I dunno, I just think that if he was banned that the message would show up bold for him to understand. It's kinda hard to miss a deep-red area and a "you have been banned" message, you know? :P

Yes, I am still here and the same thing occured last night; and from that I can tell at least that it is not from any game or advertisement.

To answer your first question I tried to close out of the ad leading to a pop-up that I exited out of. I then tried to refresh the page and noticed that I had been logged out. So I was logged out after the fact when I tried to refresh the browser.

To answer your second question I went to the log-in box at the top right of the AG website to try to log back in. What happenned when I "signed-in" was basically what happens when you sign in normaly; the screen blinked as it reloaded the page remaining on the page I was at, however I was not logged in. I then tried to purposefully mess-up my password to see what that did and it functioned as normal bringing me to the incorrect password page but no matter what I did, trying three times in a row, refreshing the page, diverting from AG for a time but nothing worked. I have only been able to log in [b]the day after.

I don't know if this matters or not but I have currently been using public library computers to log in. Meaning multiple IP addresses. Again, I don't know if it matters but there it is.

It had nothing to do with a ban. For starters, the shortest temporary ban we can give out is 24 hours.

It might have been a problem with the advertiser's javascript code conflicting with ours.

If this happens again, make a note of what the ad was so we can talk to our ad network and get them to filter that from ever showing on our site again.

Once, the ad froze but then it got back, maybe you should've waited a bit longer?

I don't know maybe you got banned or you accidently clicked on the logout button when you were trying to get out of the add or page whatever you were trying to do.

Did you leave caps lock on by any chance? I've seen that happen a few times to people over the years.

This could be anywhere from common 'caps lock' usage and typos to unusual reasons like the server being down or a login bug for as far as I know.

Well if you go back and read the previously made notes you will see that I purposefully entered an incorrect password leading to different results.
