...Its also human nature to just go where you stand, however that got annoying of course so we worked out a system to of the wastes away from our lairs. So what if it is human nature? We would be much better to overcome it.

Well taking a dump right here right now is easier then finding a bathroom. It may be worse in the long run when my room is covered in a layer of **** but its sure easier now.
So what if it is human nature? We would be much better to overcome it.
Maybe we overcame our nature of pooping whenever you want, because that might have been a bad thing that we evolved to the point that were better then it. But if we haven't gotten past religion then maybe its because were not better then it or we might never be.
The study does not claim that there is a god, and by saying such, does not make religion true. However, good luck making the Christians see that...
Lol u fail, horribly. Tho point of that anecdote in the article was to make it not a religious argument, but a human nature argument. Yet you just had to jump on it and say that inconclusive = no religion. What baloney.
As much as I would like to think otherwise at times, I'm still human. Our ability to imagine services us well even with in the circles of science. I think realizing that these concept come from us and aren't necessarily real is just us taking control of this part of our nature and accepting it for what it is.
lol and here is what I meant in another thread by 'a waste of time'. if I may, i'll impart some guidance.
it is pretty evident that religion is 'human nature' purely from its track record. but to equate the two is to raise confusion about what ' human nature' might actually mean. at least think about that first !

Looking over what the article says, perhaps it would be more accurate to say aspects of human nature can lead to religion. Given this isn't always the case and we can use those aspects of our self in other ways other then to come up with superstitious gods and religions.
From an evolutionary point of survival, to consider there was something out there we can't see, would serve greatly in avoiding predators in the dark.
Have fun denying science and religion at the same time AG.
Oh, crap! What can I do now? It's probably even worse than a guy who always refused every scientific evidence that he didn't like, but suddenly thinks scientists must be right when they say that religion is in the human nature!
Thinking about it I would go as far as to say religion hijacks this quality of humans. It even goes a step further and says "X is what's out there" and then goes on to define and explain what X is without any rational basis. This allows it to then hijack other qualities of humans such as curiosity, the desire to be comforted and even our fears. As groups form based on this it can then hijack our desire to fit in and be accepted.
Were is the actual research paper? Where is the data? Major news networks and research do not go hand in hand. They will publish anything that looks remotely interesting and then if they (researchers) find something to be at fault with their study, they (news people) then proceed to ignore the new iteration of the re-published study.
Religon is basicly anthoer word for curisoity and/or understanding merely as humans we have to have reason(s) for everything but we cant know everything about everything so therefore its just some people show this more than others.
Im going to start off by saying that Im not a religious person. With that said I do go to church on sunday but I dont believe in a god. I just like some of the morals that they teach in church (Christian). I havent been to any other church except catholic and I just like gaining knowledge through the bible. I believe in Evolution I dont know or really care how the earth started and how its going to end. The bible is like a guidebook on how you should live life, maybe not the praying or praising a god but just how you should live life in general
They are in a way right but not really. Humans are naturally curious and they used to make stuff up but since science started to learn more about the universe science has satisfied some.

It's just acting as a placebo to satisfy curiosity.
