What are your views/experiences in high school? If you are not in high school yet, then just talk about school in general.

My views of high school are definitely no better than before I got there. I'm a Sophmore now, and I've started to slack off in classes. Two weeks until the end of school, and I am so happy.

Lol to the comments above. And I agree. Girlfriends needs/wants/likes now come first, regardless of what you like. Unless you have to compromise your morals or something.

And high school amuses me. People are so self-absorbed and blame others for everything AND you can't trust 90% of them. It's a wonder we still have teachers.

I can agree on all of that but the 1st one, I will never give up my 50's rock and roll and 30's and 20's Jazz for some screamo crap or mainstream garbage, or like crappy 90s cars over a good muscle car or classic car lol

you can still do what you like, but if you are near her and she likes what she is listening to, then you have to at least pretend her opinion is good.

That's high school. it doesn't matter what time period it is, or what education reforms that have taken place. Teenage hormones are of a higher level (at least to a teenager) of concern than whatever the rules are. because of this, teenagers will always be horny, mindless eating machines who place themselves on a pedestal, and everybody else below them.

Sorry man, but thats a relationship for you, and thats life for you. sometimes you just have to make sacrafices and fulfil obligations even if doing so makes your head hurt and your stomach churn. I don't know what else to tell you, other than it's going to suck. The payoff, however, will be great.

In a little bit, I'm attending something that my english teacher came up with. its called the "samurai penguin film festival" and he's offering extra credit to anybody whos going. The thing with my english teacher is that he started the samurai penguin concept back in his college years. since the year he integrated it into his class, it's practically became a cult. everybody who has attended his class says he's the best teacher I'll ever have. from what I have experienced so far, they are right.

I'm in the second year of college (high school) over here in New Zealand. I actually don't feel much different from before, then again I missed many years of school due to some personal issues. The work is noticeably more taxing, but I can easily cope. That is if I stop being lazy. I don't feel like getting a girlfriend either. Not interested in anyone here yet.

I want to move schools though. My one is crap.

From my perspective:
Freshmen - New to highschool, most don't necessarily care about the classes they are taking, snotty little kids.
Sophomore's - When people enter here they are more mature, they start caring about how they do in school because they get to thinking about their life.
Junior's - Work's getting harder.
Senior's - Work's getting easier because you've completed most of your classes and have a whole bunch of credits now. Time to be lazy and cruise through the rest of the year.

Highschool is fun. But don't let it be just fun, make sure that you do your work and take as many classes as you can so that it looks better for college. Don't let it pass you by either, make sure that you enjoy it while it lasts.

Aww...

The problem I'll have with being a freshman next year is that I imagine something like this will happen:

*Me and my friends are standing in a circle, talking*

Senior: Get outta my way, freshmen!

Probably won't happen, since I'm just paranoid that way.

Oh, if you're in America then there's a day called 'Freshmen Beatdown Day'.
