What are your views/experiences in high school? If you are not in high school yet, then just talk about school in general.
My views of high school are definitely no better than before I got there. I'm a Sophmore now, and I've started to slack off in classes. Two weeks until the end of school, and I am so happy.
Oh, if you're in America then there's a day called 'Freshmen Beatdown Day'. [quote]You're kidding, right? According to your profile, you're from Cuba. "Freshman Beatdown Day" is just something made up to scare 'em.

Actually, I burst out laughing after I read Matrix's post. XD
From what I've experienced, upperclassman are actually alright. I've never had a problem with someone older than me in school.
You're probably right. As I've said before, I'm just paranoid.
You're kidding, right? According to your profile, you're from Cuba. "Freshman Beatdown Day" is just something made up to scare 'em.
Your ignorance is making me lose brain cells. I'm in America, my flag is my nationality. In my highschool and many others where I live the day is real, it actually happens. It's not something just to scare them.

Then I said...

Then you replied...

But you have seen to have forgotten what master said...
No there is not. At least not in my school.
Seriously Matrix. It's 2 v. 1. I've even heard of it, on Family Guy actually, but I've never actually seen it happen r heard it happen in real life. I have a best friend that's a Senior and he says he's never seen it or done it either. Maybe I should be saying...
Just because it doesn't happen in your school doesn't mean it's fake. Basing both of your schools on this day is a really stupid thing to do. It's like me saying all Xbox 360's break because mine did. Do you understand now?
My post was directed at idontsuckthatmuch, I'm not sure where he lives so I was just telling him about the day.
@Matrix Where exactly do you live? I live in Iowa, not too sure on master565's residence, which is probably a good thing, but perhaps you live in an area where it happens. I do have friends who live in different parts of the country and they've never had it happen to them. Maybe it's isolated.
Two raging fanboys say the PS2 is better than the Xbox 360. Do you think that it's better than the Xbox 360?
I've even heard of it, on Family Guy actually, but I've never actually seen it happen r heard it happen in real life.
Oh, so now that you don't hear about it means that it isn't true? Okay, let's see. I saw Lipton Tea on a commercial. I haven't seen it in real life, that means it's fake.
Good day.
Where exactly do you live?
In a county, that's in a city, that's in a state, that's in the United States of America.
Maybe it's isolated.
It isn't isolated. Search up some things on Google about it, it has happened in many states in many different schools throughout the country.
And matrix is right, his first statement "Oh, if you're in America then there's a day called 'Freshmen Beatdown Day'." was just to general. There's no reason for him to be lying that his school has it. I can't really see it happening to me because I'm the type of guy who doesn't take crap like that from anyone.
I'm done. So far you've changed one of my opinions. The rest of your argument infuriates me and I'd probably do something that I'd regret. I'm backing down before I get mad.
To me, high school was always just the precursor to college, and nothing more. Basically, just a four year countdown until my life actually started. In hindsight, this was very much the wrong attitude. There's a lot more potential in high school than most kids get out of it. I slept through/doodled in most of my classes. I mean, I got A's anyway, because in my school even AP classes were crazy easy.
But then, when you go to college (well... depending on the college) this really isn't acceptable. But then, was it ever acceptable?
So basically, make a point to actually learn the material being taught, and retain the knowledge. Don't just regurgitate it on tests. You may think something along the lines of "Oh, I don't need to actually learn European history because I'm going to be a math major". But then you go to college, and it turns out that the most exciting professor at the school teaches a Euro class, and won't let you in because you don't know anything.
Oh, and "Freshman Beatdown Day" is not a real thing in 99 percent of places. Only complete tools beat up freshmen for being freshmen. Most schools have a lot of tools, but not enough to beat up an entire class. If it is a thing at your school, then that is quite unfortunate.
