Battlefield 3 better have a special PC version if they ever want continued support from me. If you want to play ANY complex shooter game like Battlefield 2 and 3, you need the PC for it, because it has the buttons to do so. You cannot use the weapon cycle or the key combinations for the console controllers, because its much too slow compared to how the PC handles it. One button from the PC can automatically switch to something that the 360 and the PS3 takes longer time to do. This can also distract you from the more important things, like aiming and firing, which, by the way, the PC excels in far greater than what I have talked about. So yeah, they better make a Battlefield 3 for the PC. If they want a special version exclusively for the PC too, then be my guest! They get my money all the better.
I think I've stated somewhere before that before Bad Co, Battlefield was the biggest PC shooter of all time, granted, best PC game until some of those newer total wars reared their heads.
I've also stated how the spin-off Bad Co series was a beta, a test, of the Frostbite engine, to craft a perfect shooter engine, something that could run the perfect shooter, Battlefield 3.
I'm primarily an Xbox 360 player and applaud EA and Digital Illusions, they know where they started, and they're doing what all of our friends request, "If you become famous one day, remember who was there on the journey". Thank you PC community of the 1st half of the 21st century, you made a truly great franchise even better.
Indeed Chillz. Battlefield 3 will feature Jets (hopefully in Multiplayer), 64 player maps (reduced to 24 in consoles, and the maps will be shorter), mounting weapons on "nearly any kind of terrain", as well as "carrying fallen comrades into safety".
There is DEFINITELY more budget going into the computer - have no fear! <3
