This is basically the same game as the one that has been running for quite a while, but it will be all official material, no house rules or non-rulebook sources of any kind, and I may enforce mandatory characters if things get too far out of hand (TRF has said that things were getting carried away in the other game). I also want chracter and OOC dialouge to be better managed, in other words don't fill this game up with a bunch of meaningless chatter (If all you want to do is talk about something, do it in the other game). New players are always welcome, and in fact encouraged, even if you don't own any of the books or know any of the rules. If any new players want to join, see the other game for rules, give me a race and class, and I will take care of the rest. As soon as at least 4 characters are made, this game will begin. The module I am using is a DCC, known as "The Black Pearl" (and I don't mean the ship from Pirates of the Caribbean)

No, but you lose the familiar and you won't be able to summon a new one for a year.

This wouldn't happen if you had a normal rat.

I'll cut the waiting time to the next time you level. That rule never really seemed fair to me.

Good idea, not like a white rat sticks out or anything.

Okay, your character can hear the voices and what they're saying.
Voice 1: "-a failure!"
Cassio: "I didn't see you helping!"
1: "I thought you could handle it."
C: "Oh, and here I thought I was a failure."
1: "Why did you kill them, you imbecile!? You were supposed to drop off the ransom money, not slaughter the people sent to pick it up!"
C: "If memory serves, I wasn't supposed to drop the money off, she was! But apparently she had more important things to do than save her daughter's life!"
1: "You know how it is."
C: "Yes, I know! You don't even care that she's going to die, do you?"
1: "I have invested a lot of my time and money into her. I wouldn't want to lose that."
C: "If she's an investment, then what does that make me?"
1: "A failure!"
C: "That's nice to know, I haven't heard myself called that enough."
Voice 2: "The smart *** remarks aren't helping, Cassio."
C: "Neither are you."
1: "Why did you kill them?!"
C: "They attacked us. I had no choice."
1: "You had a million choices! You could have hidden and followed them! You could have disabled them instead of killing them, to interrogate them! Or you could have run away!"
C: "Sorry if I wasn't weighing the pros and cons of all my different options while surrounded by enemies armed to the teeth attacking me!"
1: "You-"
2: "That's enough. She's not necessarily dead. If they are really in it for the money, they're desperate. They will probably contact us again. In the meantime, we have guests. We should not keep them waiting for us."
C: "Fine. Let's go."
