You really aren't oversimplifying it at all chrs! You are saying exactly their reasons. They have no other reasons beside those. A real sound argument, I know, but hey!
It will definately be less, Ash. If gay couples are strong enough to stay together through the turmoil that is recent society, then a marriage like that will last forever....
This is a little fun statistic, but did you know that arranged marriages are more likely to NOT get a divorce, than chosen marriages?
Nick, I agree. I know some couple that have been together for 30+ years. I believe the divorce rate for heterosexual couple is 3/5 marriage ends in divorce.
On that arranged marriage stat, THAT is amazing. I wonder why that is.
Arranged marriages work because the families are involved, the divorce rate is almost nul in that case.
Where's the proof/evidence? Arranged marriages are stupid in my opinion. People should be able to love who they want. They should take their parent's opinion into consideration but ultimately, it should be up to the kids.
Ok folks, we are getting off topic. Unless these arranged marriages are between two men, which I doubt they are, we need to get back on topic. So how about those rainbows after a rainstorm?
I'd think about 20% of those divorced marriages were from Vegas, lol. But that info is pretty accurate. India is completely different from the USA in culture, religion, etc. They probably think marriages based on the spouses loving each other is crazy!

Haha, the only reason that his topic is alive because people will come along and put a different view in. If it's a view that has been mentioned before, we'll debate on it. This thread is pretty much a debate forum in itself.
