Nine-hundred-whatever isn't very awesome. Any gold knight is one, and there are lots of gold knights+. If you have the same amount of points as someone, you are listed as higher than them on your computer, and lower than them on theirs.
Back to the topic, I strongly believe that all apocalypse theories with no scientific evidence are rubbish.

2012 might happen. The natural disasters have gone way up recently. Also 9.11.01+3.10.11(Japan earthquake)=12.21.12,the day the world is supposed to end.

That's probably just coincidence. I believe there will be an apocalypse, but I don't believe in '2012', because nobody can predict the end of the world.

Question, why do you even believe in 2012? Do you know any trustworthy source that stated that? Because you know, it has been made up entirely, it has only been mediatized as something coming from old mayans (which it isn't btw) and they made the film and all that.

Generally this stuff with world endings is bollocks; every generation had it's predictions, and all old people make a lot of theories and conspiracies because hey, it's more thrilling to die in the last catastrophe than in the bed by old age. Also disasters have always been animating people's thoughts and fantasies. It doesn't make it any more real though.

2468etc, don't worry about back-seat moderating. People are allowed to speak their mind. However, we do hold to our "should be more than 7 words" rule and so his post will be deleted, but you don't need to contact me every time someone disagrees with you.

Also, given the topic, I'm moving this thread to the WEPR forum.

Why do you believe in the myth of the end of the world happening next year? And if you believe the bible, Jubuz also stated that it would happen within the next generation, so you missed it anyway.

I like how people come up with these mathematical combinations for these events. It brings a smile to my face...
(which it isn't btw)
What do you mean by this? This 'rediction' (which it isn't even, read the other threads explaining it) does come from the mayans, but also other cultures. Saying that it doesn't is false.

I don't think you can use that because one was a man-made disaster and the other was a natural-disaster.

I think it will likely be about 4.5 billion years from now when the sun expands.

I think they meant that the Mayans did not make this prediction.

I don't pay attention to doomsday predictions. So many have come and gone that it is not worth the time to pay attention to them.

Seriously. AN EQUATION?! It isn't going to happen, I mean come on. You really believe that? They also said in 2000 we were all supposed to die, and here we are! Want me to list a bunch of other times that were predicted and we are still alive?
Look, point is, What would you do on that day? I mean, you aren't going to commit suicide because you think the world is about to end, what are you supposed to do about it? You can't do anything if it even did happen, so why bother? Live like it is your last day, everyday, I don't see how one specific date should be different from the rest.
