The enitre final battle of the NES version of the final battle of Dragon Warrior IV is epic. The boss is so big, they had to cut the level off of the status bar at the top of the screen.
*SPOILER ALERT*
He starts out looking the same as Esturk, the mid-point boss. The same music is playing - 'Evil One.' After whacking him around a bit, HE TRANSFORMS. This is nothing ever seen in a NES game until now (in RPGs at least). If you time it right, his sound effects obscure the music to make it all the more epic. At his final form, the music changes. When he is defeated, he doesn't just disappear (unless you play the remakes), his color changes to solid white, and fades to black.
