That's right. I said

halo is just way overrated.

why? because the game is for nerds. It's about science fiction that could bore even professors to sleep. Mainly, its for people who have no life. For wannabes who wished they turned out better in life. so they escape into their little halo world so maybe they could become famous online, by being impossible to beat. But the truth is, they're noobs in real life.

For those that were too lazy to read the above:
1.its overrated because its for nerds.
2.its about science fiction that copies every other sci-fi game.
3. the people who are good on halo have absolutely no life.

So stop talking about halo, because its way too overrated

Anyone think this guy is just a troll and all of you guys are feeding him with the long responses? He hasn't even replied to anything.

You don't feed trolls you systematically destroy them. I don't mind practicing my writing skills.

i agree, halo is over rated, but definitely not for those reasons, hahaha.

i think it's over rated because i find it to be very boring. it just doesn't grab me like gears of war, fallout 3, and any assassin's creed does. i don't like linear path games (i play gears mostly for horde and the other multiplayer modes).
i also find the little kids online in halo to be incredibly annyoing as well. the ones that cuss and get mad when they die and take the sniper and never hit a single person.
in halo 3, the balance of weapons was horrid. all humans weapons= good all alien weapons= terrible. they fixed that in reach by adding that quadruple grenade launcher and plasma repeater, i liked that.
i also think the amount of sameness to the games is quite old as well. same enemy, same weapons (for the most part), it's all pretty much the same.
the campaign is also too short for me to actually get into any of them.
but, all that being said, there is something about the series that makes me want to keep playing them. i don't know what is about it, but i keep saying to my friend "hey let's play some reach" when i'm in the mood for a minimal blood, first- person shooter.

Your comparing a first person shooter to an open world game.

i also find the little kids online in halo to be incredibly annyoing as well. the ones that cuss and get mad when they die and take the sniper and never hit a single person.

Now you are naming every online first person shooter.

in halo 3, the balance of weapons was horrid. all humans weapons= good all alien weapons= terrible. they fixed that in reach by adding that quadruple grenade launcher and plasma repeater, i liked that.

They aren't unbalanced, they are different. Alien weapons mostly take down shields, human weapons mostly do damage. You need to use them in combination.

i also think the amount of sameness to the games is quite old as well. same enemy, same weapons (for the most part), it's all pretty much the same.

A sequel being similar to the previous game? That's unheard of.

the campaign is also too short for me to actually get into any of them.

Many games rely more on online play but yes, I would have enjoyed longer campaigns.

First of all, you should really chill out and learn that 'over rated' and 'bad' are two entirely different things. Over rated means people make something out to be better than what it really is. Sometimes, people will take something that is awesome, and make it out to be even more awesome than what it really is (even if it already is insanely awesome). The Beatles? Definitely over rated! But that doesn't stop them from being one of my favorite bands.

1. Over rated does not necessarily make something bad.

because the game is for nerds.

You are making quite a few assumptions. One is that being a nerd is a bad thing.

The other is that only nerds enjoy Halo. If you consider anyone who plays video games to be a nerd, then you'd be right, but then you're preaching to a bunch of nerds about a particular game forgetting that you yourself are a nerd. If nerds are only the people who wear the dorky glasses and pocket protectors, you'd be wrong. I bet most people who play Halo have never even played D&D before!

2. Many different people of varying status play Halo.

It's about science fiction that could bore even professors to sleep.

Well obviously it's a science fiction game. Are you saying that it's bed because it's a science fiction game? If not, then telling us that it's a science fiction game was redundant. To make sure there's no more confusion in the future, make sure everything in a sentence is related in one way or another.

2.its about science fiction that copies every other sci-fi game.

I'm not saying Halo is completely original, but that doesn't mean it ripped every other sci-fi off. Understand that games influence one another and they borrow from one another. You see this in video games, books, art, you name it. It's like saying Call of Duty ripped off Medal of Honor, or Family Guy ripped off The Simpsons, or that Legend of Zelda ripped off Hydlide. That's like saying Assassin's Creed ripped off Grand Theft Auto.

Let's face it, games are similar to one another, so you have to really be cautious when you say something is a rip off. A rip off must be a near blatant copy of a game.

3. The game is it's own.

Mainly, its for people who have no life. For wannabes who wished they turned out better in life. so they escape into their little halo world so maybe they could become famous online, by being impossible to beat. But the truth is, they're noobs in real life.

I don't even know what to say about this. You're simply assuming everyone who plays halo, or who is good at Halo, must have no life. That's one hell of an assumption, and you know what they say about assuming...

4. When you assume, you make an *** out of you and me.
