They're illegal where I live too, everybody just drives out of state to get them. Nobody gets in trouble for fireworks around here if it's on the 4th of July
We don't have many laws concerning fireworks in Britain, and the USA's tight control over them has always miffed me slightly, if people are careful no one will get hurt, it's the same with nearly every other activity I can think of, theres always an element of danger
Some fireworks here in PA are legal, all the sort that are small though. There are some stores around me though that sell fireworks that are legal in Maryland but not in PA. I don't get why they can do that.
Man Texas use to hit it big on fireworks, then two years ago they outlawed bottle rockets (They were pretty much the best thing out there), and now this year they're all banned due to the drought conditions that have been going on throughout the South ='(
But on regular years, I love the Texan firework laws, they've never given me problems. I just want bottle rockets back </3
i live in illinois and we cant have fireworks but everyone goes to indiana to get them its really stupid one time a cop pulled our family over after we got fireworks and he let us go because he didnt agree with the law and just gave us a warning good cop
Cant remeber where my family got em', but we couldnt buy them here. So we got them, and on the 4th, the went to the back yard and set of all of those big ones that make giant colored sparks in the sky, it was awsome. A fire truck patroled the neighborhood, but no cops XD

Fireworks are legal to own in Illinois, you just can't buy, sell, or set them off legally. Its a rather odd law and I wish they would just make them legal already.
